X-Plane is a comprehensive and powerful flight simulator with a realistic flight model.
X-Plane is the most realistic civilian flight simulator ever released for the personal computer. The flight dynamics are the same type that are used by engineers in predicting the performance of new aircraft designs. Coupled with Part-Maker and Plane-Maker (included) you have in front of you a system that is powerful enough to enter your own aircraft designs and fly them, getting a flight performance prediction that is accurate enough for engineering use.
Improvements from version 1.0 to 2.0:
- 800x600 resolution
- better new cockpits (higher-resolution HSI, etc.)
- directional-gyro drift
- more instrument and engine failure modes and control
- artificially-intelligent ATC for the ENTIRE COUNTRY
- visible dynamic air traffic
- fuel management
- payload and jettisonable-load weight management
- ability to fly helicopters and airplanes
- easier-to-fly helicopters with custom high-visibility cockpits
- buildings with helipads on top to land on
- frigates rocking in the waves with helipads on the back to land on
- Plane-Maker drops into helicopter or airplane-making mode
- pseudo-random fractal-based thunderstorm generation... including rain, turbulence, and reduced visibility when in weather
- on-board weather radar (coupled to thunderstorms of course)
- radar-summary chart (coupled to thunderstorms of course)
- plates and charts can be zoomed, like on Jeppesen/Elite
- 3-D flight-path plot... must see to believe... look at it when you get it
- space-flight dynamics (with a rocket-propelled orbital glider... you can fly into space and do a REALISTIC re-entry and glide to landing like the shuttle! A FULL RE-ENTRY SEQUENCE is a first for PC flight simulation, like a lot of the things on this list)

System Requirements
Comments
I do not think so, at least I just saw the Macintosh executable.
EDIT:
I did intensive searching on the internet to find any system requirements for these games and found also the one for Windows during the process. So I have added them as well for somebody also searching it in the future. All the stuff that I got from MacRUS is Macintosh-only. But maybe someone can add the other versions too in a (not so distant) future.
Just because of interest, is this a hybrid version?
I have added X-Plane 2 from MacsRUS's archive.
