Bri did a bunch of these tiny demos promoting Apple's new "QuickDraw 3D" in 1995, alongside his official larger demo for Apple called "Gerbils". There's a "Tic Tac Toe 3D" tiny demo and the "GoCart 3D/Soap Box Derby" tiny demo (both of those were placed in mg's page for gerbils), all three of these demos have the same PowerPete advert. He/they went on to make full fledged QD3D games such as Nanosaur.
This looks a lot like the level loading screen in MDK.
