Adrian Blake, trapped in a mountain cave, surrounded by a raging war, fears his exciting and adventurous life is almost at an end. The goddess Ishtar appears before him and offers to save him in exchange for his love. Rejecting her advances and safely returning home, Adrian discovers that his fiancée is missing. Realizing that Ishtar has cursed him, Adrian searches ancient scrolls to invoke the goddess to help him find Sophia. Instead, Ishtar challenges him to go back in history to Pompeii in the year 79 A.D. and win the love and trust of Sophia, as a complete stranger. Adrian must race against time - he is aware that Mount Vesuvius is destined to erupt in just 4 days. Overcoming numerous obstacles, Adrian must act quickly to save Sophia and himself before all is lost (MobyGames).

The game was also known as "Pompei: The Legend of Vesuvius" or in French "Pompei, La Colère du Volcan". This French version (3rd and 4th DL) like "TimeScape" was published by Cryo Interactive and Réunion des Musées Nationaux. The 5th DL is a User Guide in French, English and Dutch for that version of the game. French description from the box:

I am not sure either: After restarting the computer I got the expected "Pompeii" on my desktop and was able to install and play it with no problems, so the failure must have been some temporal OS9.22 problem, not the disk image itself. Thank you!

The disc images are indeed hybrids. I have the original discs and imaged them myself and tested them. So I am not sure what is happening in your case.

I was quite excited to try this in my OS9 computer... However when I mount the images I only find the Windows 95 executables for the installer... Is this really an hybrid image or am I missing anything?
