Starship Titanic is a computer adventure game designed by Douglas Adams and made by The Digital Village. It was released in 1998. It takes place on a starship of the same name which has undergone "Spontaneous Massive Existence Failure" and crash landed on Earth on its maiden voyage (in an allusion to the 1912 disaster involving the real-world RMS Titanic). - Wikipedia/Starship Titanic
The player acts the part of a human (whose house the starship crashed into) who goes aboard to help fix the ship, and must solve puzzles to collect the parts of the sabotaged onboard computer, Titania. Once all the parts have been collected and inserted in the correct places, Titania comes alive and talks.
There's an official game site at http://www.starshiptitanic.com/, although all the useful download links are dead. It's still worth a visit, even just to find about the issues with the "Medium Install" option on Mac.
Fourth file above contains some Bonus stuff to Starship Titanic, including a small plan of the ship.

Thanks bertyboy; I know that it has already been scanned into PDF once before so I'm hoping someone will come forward with it. Google searches show that there was an Underground Gamer torrent at some point.
Is anyone active over there?
UPDATE: Apparently someone made a new scan and uploaded it to replacementdocs.com. I've added it to this page.
In a shipping container somewhere between Edinburgh and Auckland. If the Somali pirates don't get it, I'll happily scan it when I unpack at the far end.
I've been looking all over for a PDF scan of the "in-flight magazine" that was included with this game, but the most I've been able to find is a dead torrent from Underground Gamer. There's a PDF available of the "novel" that was written to go with the game, but that's all. Does anyone have the "magazine" on their hard drive, for upload?
Picked up the one on eBay UK, for my usual £0.99 of course. It came with the hefty official strategy guide, in-flight magazine, 3D specs, poster, game manual, and the original CDs of course. Now I have 2 sets, but I only got the CDs the first time I purchased it.
Got it a few months ago (by eBay), including Solution Book.
This has come up on eBay UK, currently no bids and £0.99. If you like this game, even if you have the downloads, bid on it. I already have it.
This one looks interesting,
too bad I ran out of HD space.
Runs fine with Classic Environment on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, so for sure with older Classic Environment versions, too.
Runs also pretty well within SheepShaver, required minimum System version is Mac OS 7.5.1
For best performance, select Full screen mode instead of window mode.
Starship Titanic is a game which uses multiple CD drives, so it is very simple to add images of all CD ROMs of this game to the SheepShaver drives list at once before booting up SheepShaver. So you will not need to switch CDs during gameplay.
