Myth: The Fallen Lords is a Real Time Strategy game which pits the evil Fallen Lords vs humanity.
You must take control of archers, explosive-throwing dwarves, dependable infantry, and others to stop the horde of undead and evil from overrunning the last vestiges of good in the world. Battle plague-ridden corpses who detonate themselves in ground-shaking explosions, throngs of axe-wielding zombies, floating spectors who hurl poisoned spears at you, and quick-moving magical creatures armed with sharp blades. Live long enough and you will face the most powerful of the Fallen Lords.
Take control of the high ground and your ranged attackers will be able to shoot farther distances, but the enemy can take advantage of the same situation. Sometimes it may be to your advantage to let the forces of evil thin their ranks for you...
Go online and play vs other humans, using either side you wish, in many modes of play, including a game of capture the flag, but with a ball instead.

CompatibilityProject Magma was given permission from Take2 Interactive to maintain and release future updates to Myth. For an OS X native 1.5 patch, mods and extras, go to the Project Magma website. For even more custom content, visit The Tain.
You can also play Myth 1 inside Myth 2's engine in the form of a total conversion by using both, this project (single player missions) and this one (multi player maps).
TIP: you can play the game's cut scenes without having the disk mounted by copying the "cutscene.gor" file off your game disk (or disk image) and placing it in the "tags" folder of your Myth TFL install directory.
Comments
I have the original game media, if you need a "pure" image. No idea on the version, but I would have bought it *after* Myth II: TFL was released.
Unfortunately there's something weird about the CD image for Myth TFL.
It appears to have the 1.3 binary with the 1.2 tags. It can't be used with plugins like Sir Mauriac's Tale for The Fallen Lords, since plugins were made possible by the 1.3 tags.
I'll go see if I can find a better image.
EDIT: In the meantime, the TFL in The Total Codex is a 100% complete Myth 1.3, ready with plugin support out the box! Works perfectly with LAN play over AppleTalk.
"Bungie released a special edition called Myth: The Total Codex, which included The Fallen Lords, Soulblighter, the Soulblighter expansion pack Myth II: Chimera, and official Strategies and Secrets guides for both of the main games."
Would be nice to have this
Does Myth: The Total Codex contain any additional content?
I have a copy.
It runs really nice on PPC Macintosh G5 under the classic environment.
This is such a great game! UGH! WORDS CAN'T EXPLAIN IT! Oh and thank you so much for putting the link up for this game, I had an old copy but now i have Mac OSX so yeah... anyway thank you so much!
Hi, I just downloaded the file and works fine! THX!...
@NucAr
that was the very first thing I tried and didn´t work.
I think the problem was to expand the parts in Sheepshaver under emulation ie latest OS9.
Just FYI, you can expand segmented StuffIt archives such as this one using the free StuffIt Expander from the App Store (and StuffIt website) by renaming the ".sit.1" segment to just ".sit".
My bad English: nothing excluded. Beside the game disk there's also manual, cheats, editor etc. All that was in the original archive is still in the 7zip archive.
Hi, big THANK YOU for your time re-uploading this game,
right now I´m out of town and I´ll be back at my office by tomorrow
so I have to wait ´till tomorrow to download it,
just one question..
Do I need the manuals to play it?
since you left out the manuals and cheats I was wondering.
Ok; this became a 7zip archive (=small size & E on Win) and ended here;
http://depositfiles.com/files/etevxzglg
containing except game disk editor, manuals, cheats etc. Good luck!
Thank you, you were the ONLY ONE who was nice to reply...
I don´t know what else to do but wait
Downloaded and tried to unstuff. I did this successfully w Expander 14.x under OS 10.6.8 but doing as Euryale, copying into SS' internal disk I couldn´t get this to work trying Expander v 4.0.1, 4.0.2 and 5.1.5 The last is odd as StuffIt deLuxe contains the gadget 'Drop Segment' but can't cope with a segmented archive?
A later version of Expander would work with this in SS? Else I can recompress and ul somewhere, tomorrow (bedtime here).
Help, please someone answer this question..
Since I´ve read so many good reviews about this game,
I decided to download it but I have problems unpacking it with Stuffit 5.5
Once I had it in SheepShaver (both parts) I double-click on the 1st part but it doesn´t do nothing, also I tried to drag the file onto the Stuffit expander icon, and nothing,
so please tellme how can i extract the file.
or do I need the stuffit expander for Windows and extract the file there, and then import it to sheepshaver?
------------
update, I just installed Stuffit 11 for Windows and it doesn´t even recognize the file format,
I even tried to change the sufix .sit.1 for just .sit but nothing
is there something wrong with the files?
Runs in SheepShaver.
just beat it again. god what a great game. Playing nothing but myth for a week and then moving on to myth 2 is such a big step. myth 2 was polished so much more. truly appreciate both games after that.
Yeap ... ehhrrr in fact not, 2 hours sleep and up for school
(quite not like working
) !
If it's like me, you mean 5pm-5am, 2 hours sleep and up for work.
I bought both games with a friend (because they are hibryd CD games, I had a G3 and he had a PC), and we played them full-time until we finished both of them
!
It was the time I could play a video game 12hours a day... A (not so?) great time
Same here, but I never finished it. Myth II came along before I got to the end and I never went back. Myth II, I did finish and spent every night for years playing on Bungie.net. Until Diablo II came out ....
I still have the original game with box & manual and everything! One of my most-played titles from 1997-1999
it works, going to make triplicates of this...
thanks!
Myth was backed up on my hard drive, but not in segments, so I had to remake the 2 segments and upload them both. So if anyone downloaded the first segment and is still waiting to get the second segment, you will likely have to start over with your downloading.
Mediafire is not without its problems but I've tried other sites and mediafire is angelic in comparison. Partly it is to do with where you are in the world, partly what software you're using to browse with, and like the rest of the internet it is all in constant flux.
The key thing to be careful of with a Mediafire account is to NEVER hit the "back" button with your browser. And if you've made a lot of changes to your files, log out before logging back in to work again. These two tips alone stopped a lot of the headaches I first had with the site.
Ain't none of these external hosting sites a joy to work with...
Well, that's interesting, the file is mysteriously missing from my mediafire account. I can check my backup at home and upload it again, but this is not encouraging. There is absolutely no reason it should not be there. Files from time to time refuse to download, but they are still visible and do become available again. Harumph.
the link to the second segment doesn't work anymore
can some fix please?
Game OST available for download at: http://cid-113a53cc9a91c960.office.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/gamemusic/...
Amazingly great game! If you haven't played this, omfg, get yourself a copy immediately. Absolute top quality classic Mac game. Bungie set themselves as pretty much the best Mac game developer of the 90s with this title and the Marathon series.
Any Chance of getting this on a torrent please?
