Guides on emulating older games

Supposed to represent any typical 2D platformer game from the 1980s but with genuine 3D immersion graphics added. This file is possibly Webfoot's worst; it is very unrefined. Click on this page's "publisher" field to see more of their game titles. I'm not sure what specific game they're attempting to imitate here, I want to say "Crystal Castles" by Atari, let us know if there's a more accurate comparison.

This software began originally named "Slimers" around the year 1999. It was named Slimers because the player attacked foes by shooting "slime" at them. At some point in production, the game's concept was overhauled into a magical fantasy theme, the green slime was changed to yellow "starry glitter" and the name was changed to Magic Hat. But in this particular file: a Rabbit shoots yellow glitter while the file icon shows green slime, the help screen is titled "Slimers" and the audio effect accompanying shooting sounds more slimy than glittery.

This download is probably a 2nd generation release that was given better graphics sometime between 2004 and 2008, then lastly patched by its authors in 2009 for Snow Leopard access. I located this on a commercial DVD dated 2013, and I have repaired trouble it had displaying its icon in certain OS X environments.

Architecture: PPC x86 (Intel:Mac)

Requires OS X 10.5 Leopard min.
Works in at least OS X 10.8
