By the original creators of Tetris, perhaps one of the most famous and popular games of all time, comes this 3D shooter...
Fly a spaceship around pre-arranged paths to enter areas where you dismount and take on aliens in a first person shooter using weapons based on ice and fire.
DL above, is of a zipped .ISO archive. Use MacZip to extract if using a classic Mac OS. The extracted .iso also mounts nicely on a classic system using the Virtual CD/DVD Utility, otherwise use Toast to mount or burn the image.
MD5 checksum & filename: 522484ae4b2e4f70ab65150a804497f3 *ice-fire-cd-iso.zip
To play: Mount the image, copy the small install folder to your hard drive, and double-click the game while the image is still mounted. Instructions are included in the CD (see last screenshot above). Ignore the "Install QuickTime 2.1" part, if you already have this or newer versions of QT installed.
Compatibility640 x 480 resolution, 256 colors at the least. PPC, Mac OS 7 and 16MB RAM required. Works with OS 9.2.2.

Crashes SheepShaver upon launch. Stderr.txt contents: "Illegal instruction at 1def0c1c, opcode = 7cc320d6"
All there is in the segments is a 600MB toast image. If you unstuff the first segment, the other segments are automatically included. Just mount the image and copy the Ice & Fire folder to your hard drive and run it from there, leaving the image mounted.
How do I get the other 2 segment files to unpack? Im just getting errors in stuffit expander. Do I have to combine them somehow?
I've got the first one to unpack as a .toast image, mounted it and all the files are there. The game doesn't work in the first file segment, obviously.
But the other two files I get errors saying, eg "The file "IceFireCD.toast.sit.2" does not appear to compressed or encoded".
Thanks.
sorry for this confusing post.
