The sequel to Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers.
From Wikipedia:
The storyline weaves together werewolf mythology and Bavarian history with sexual intrigue and businessmen's quest for their primal roots. The game's two lead characters are Gabriel Knight—the seemingly less-than-bright but smart-as-a-fox mystery writer and bookstore owner—and Grace Nakimura, his less-than-trusting assistant. Knight has inherited a castle in a small German village and the title of Schattenjäger ("shadow hunter" in German) that comes with it. It has been a year since the voodoo murders case (The Sins of the Fathers) and the local villagers implore him to investigate the mysterious death of a little girl—caused, they believe, by a werewolf. Knight and Nakimura's search for clues takes them to Munich, King Ludwig II's famous Neuschwanstein Castle, Altötting and Bavaria's forested countryside. Their efforts lead them to uncover the truth about King Ludwig's mysterious death and discover a lost Richard Wagner opera, written by Robert Holmes (composer of music in the game).
The game is divided into six chapters and the player controls Gabriel and Grace alternately between the chapters. They conduct their investigations separately for the most of the game, only joining forces in the finale.
It comes on 6 CDs, which have been transferred to Toast images and archived with StuffIt.

Well, where do I start on this one? GK2 is a real bitch and we developed a love-hate relationship. Both for technical and gameplay reasons. Playing the game for the walkthrough on my Cheat Emporium. There's a few things I'd like to point out to my fellow Gardeners.
Save often. Stop. Read again. The game is bug-ridden and you can actually get stuck, rendering your last save useless. Always save under a different name. (e.g. "beginning-chapter2.sav", "visited-university.sav" etc.)
You CANNOT FINISH THE GAME if you have v.1.1 as on the CD images here. Some of the puzzles are buggy in 1.1., like the cuckoo puzzle (chapter 4) or the family papers bug in chapter 1, meaning you cannot proceed in the game.
Apply update 1.3 BEFORE starting a new game. Apparently the save games are not compatible and force the game to mess up (it'll say your save game is invalid). With 1.3 though I keep getting "out of memory" errors on OS9.2.2 even when manually doubling or tripling it at the end of chapter 1. Classic works fine on Tiger with v1.1 but with v1.3 the mouse cursor disappears no matter the screen settings. (so you're essentially playing "blind". Bad for a game that has time-critical elements in it!). Playing it on my 8600 and System 7.6.1 worked fine though.
Apart from that, the game is great and has an awesome atmosphere. As a native Bavarian, it was especially interesting watching the story unfold in my home state and I must say, they've done a good job. Some parts are humourus, e.g. when supposedly local folks speaks high German with a thick American accent
Gabriel Knight II has some great puzzles and an awesome atmosphere. The one thing I really recommend is playing and finishing the first Gabriel Knight game before starting this one. Not only will you meet the characters again but there's also lots of references that you won't get otherwise. And it definitely added to the general atmosphere as the characters get much more depth.
i am from Greece and some times the shipping price is expensive.
"The Riddle of Master Lu" ? Not this time, but I have seen it, for too much money. I still keep them in my Watch list, just incase they one day reduce the price to something bearable.
Yeah they can be expensive sometimes. Currently watching a lot of stuff, but it's all up around £10 / $15 each on a good day, sometimes £25 / $40. Not going to pay that.
This pristine box of GK2 was an eBay purchase last week, £0.99. I have a few more like that lined up to finish in the next week. Got another 3 CD adventure a few days ago, for £0.99 of course, quite rare, as it was only ever released in Europe. More details on that when it arrives.
Great work my friend!!!! Three adventure games i am looking for a long time. Rex Nebular, Phantasmagoria and Gabriel Knight 2!!!. On ebay i find them a little expensive.
I second that. Awesome upload and probably a lot of work getting these six discs up there. Kudos to bertyboy!
Respect for your effort, bertyboy! A recommended, if not; 'must-have', for anyone unfamiliar with these games.
