Europa Universalis II is a historical strategy game simulating all aspects of world history from 1419 to 1820. Players takes on the role of one of the 180 nations of the era, controlling diplomacy, economy, warfare, exploration and colonization. A number of unique features ensure historical accuracy, including period monarchs, military leaders, and technological gains. Think of Civilization, but much more depth.
DL #1: The game disc image in a StuffIt archive
DL #2: The Update to version 1.0.9 (highly recommended).
DL #3: The update to version 1.1 that converts v. 1.0.9 to a universal binary (not recommended for PPC Macs).
DL #4: Version 1.6 of the game application (still universal binary)
DL #5: Looking for more historical events and greater historical plausibility? Try the amazing AGCEEP mod. Download and unzip the file and open the readme for a detailed installation instruction.

Any idea if the third game will make it onto the Garden, since all the expansions that don't require Intel chips are now eligible?
Make sure you lock the game disc image before you mount it. That works for me.
I have also uploaded the UB updater to v 1.1
hmmm whenever i try to run the game i get an error about how the cd must be inserted, even if i have the toast file mounted. before or after the update, on os9.2.2 and 10.4.11. anyone else have this issue?
I cannot de-compress the rar archives in the AGCEEP folder. I get a format error when attempting to expand.
So I re-uploaded this gem a few days ago. Might add the AGCEEP mod as well, if there is anyone interested (the official homepage seems to be down atm).
The link gives a 404 error. Please reupload.
The link to the current toast image is dead. Is there another way to get EUii?
EU 2 has a really steep learning curve but it is without doubt one of the best strategy games of all times, especially in combination with the AGCEEP modifications. If you have the patience to learn the game mechanics you'll probably spend 3-6 month playing this gem - like I did. Highly recommend it!
*Note: There is also a patch to 1.1 (universal binary) out there. It will make EU2 run on 10.5 Leopard (PPC/Intel). However, it will make the game run much slower on PPC Macs and it will request a valid serial number upon start-up, so rather don't use it when you're on a PPC Tiger Mac.
