Dome Wars is a game of war on the Macintosh for 1 to 10 players. Each player controls one of many tanks distributed across a random terrain. The victor is the player with the most points at the end of the rounds. In addition to single-player mode, there is also a score/round-based competition mode where you play through increasingly difficult rounds. - NS Software (author)
Available for Mac OS X and Classic Mac OS.
From that-ben: Added the original Dome Wars 1.0 public beta from January 1996 for historical value.

Scorched Earth meets Spaceward Ho. Neither is my favorite genre but I spent years with this! The bot opponents have personality, the day-glo fractal graphics are ever-changing, the strategic depth goes on forever (custom weapons, environmental hazards, stocks and bonds). 10-person multiplayer, too.
If this were developed now, it would have had mobile versions on day one (despite the amount of trigonometry involved, somehow the controls are mostly pointer-based). As it was, the author never finished the netplay code, which is a shame as that might have been all it needed to take off.
Wonderful game. The versions above no longer make the NS Software a profit so here are the serial keys (case sensitive) for both version provided for download.
