Running Crystal Crazy in the Mac OS X Classic environment:

If the screen of Crystal Crazy is shown at right side of monitor and the right part from Crystal Crazy screen is shown on left side of monitor, then set screen size from Mac OS X to 800 x 600 or smaller.

• Once start Crystal Crazy with Apple Key down and choose these Preferences:
• In section "Black & White or Color": "Use monitor as it is"
• In section "Screen Size": Classic size, or if you prefer, set to 13" monitor size.

Never set the screen size of Crystal Crazy to the "Full Size" option in OS X. The dock will hide the bottom part of the play area.

Works perfectly! Thanks a bunch, this is going to save me a lot of headaches.

Interesting side effect of playing this game in a high resolution is that it will make the entire screen the game area, but all the sprites are the same size as when playing it at a lower one... so you have to move much further to collect crystals.

@ThinkIndifferent: I would try Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility, the Swiss army knife of image mounting.

When I try to mount this image in toast (3.5) I'm told it can't be mounted because it doesn't have an HFS or ISO 9660 file system. I got this error with other images too, anyone have some tips?

Good game, I like it better than the original. Much better on experience on my beige g3 than mac se, it does not run well with 2MB of ram, it has to do a hard drive spin before after and before each level.

Version 1.0.5 refuses to run in Sheep, at least for me. This version 1.0.6 runs fine in all three common Mac emulators now. In Mini vMac, Bas and now also in Sheep.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the current archive. You know what a nut I am for preserving everything with the original media included. Even if this site doesn't want it, I do!

From the Readme file:

"In order for Crystal Crazy to run properly on Power Macintoshes using the Power PC 604 CPU, 'MegaDraw' must be disabled. To disable 'MegaDraw', launch the game and the Preferences screen will automatically appear. Go to 'Other options' and uncheck 'Use MegaDraw not QuickDraw'. From then on, Crystal Crazy will run properly on Power Macintoshes using the Power PC 604 CPU."
