"Circle of Blood is the first part in the Broken Sword series. It is a third-person point-and-click adventure entirely in 2D. The player controls George Stobbart, an American tourist spending his autumn vacation in Paris. He barely escapes a bombing of a café and decides to investigate the clues left behind by the killer. This eventually leads him to a mystery dating back to the legend of the Knights Templar.
The game is entirely in 2D and gameplay is in typical point-and-click fashion. The player moves the character around using the mouse, examines the environment, talks to other people and collect items stored in an inventory. These items need to be used or combined with other items to solve puzzles. George gets help from Nicole Collard, a French journalist.
The story has been divided into eleven chapters and takes place in locations such as Paris, Ireland, Syria, Spain and Scotland." --MobyGames.com
CompatibilityPatch included updates to v 1.2
Important tips:
'The computer crashes when I drop the manuscript! - Just before the point where the computer crashes turn off all music and sound fx and then play past the crash point. Once past you may switch on sounds and music and continue as normal.
If you are experiencing random crash bugs on a power Mac then please download this patchfile swordfix.sit'

Just re-uploading both game cds. Enjoy
The revision history of the page shows that the link was removed because it doesn't work anymore.
Where's the game at? Cant seem to locate it.
There seems to be something wrong with the BSCD2andPatch.sit download.
I get a 404 when I try to get it from there.
Take it from Revolutions site, from here: http://www.revolution.co.uk/files/swordfix.sit
There's actually a new Director's Cut version available from Macgamestore. If you want to play this in OS X I'd recommend getting that one.
But for those of us who have the original game already, could someone upload the 1.2 patch seperately?
Seems like somebody else was faster in adding screenshots + description. Great
One thing I noticed - it runs fine in classic under 10.4.11 after using the PPC version (68k won't start up). The only exception are cut-scenes, which are rather choppy. Other than that I couldn't see any problems on my PowerMac G4 MDD.
Thanks for uploading SwedeBear; I've downloaded it but haven't unstuffed yet.
Beeing a lazy s@d; anyone playing a bit into this (great!) game, please feel free to submit a screenshot or two. TIA!
Great upload SwedeBear, thank you! I'll try to burn the discs and see if it plays on my PowerMac G4 MDD and report back.
It seems that plays fine on my performa 6116 with sonnet nubus 500 mhz. On my imac g3 i had to run the patch to run the game properly
