Strange name for a strong Othello opponent! Despite its too simple and uncluttered look that does not inspire confidence, this program plays particularly well, contains most of the game's study tools, and takes up very little disk space. Some of its characteristics: 8 levels of depth, backspace many strokes, referee mode, self-play, problem mode, advice, copy of history in the clipboard, setting board and player colors, etc. Freeware.

From System 6 (maybe less) to MacOSX Intel (with Rosetta).
Requirements for each version vary on a case-by-case basis.
Tested successfully on:
◦ Mini vMac for Linux w/System 6.0.8 (brev68k.dsk.zip)
◦ Mini vMac for MacOSX w/System 6.0.8 (brev68k.dsk.zip)
[sound does not work in Mini vMac, however]
◦ Basilisk II for Linux w/System 7.5.5 (brev68k.sit)
◦ Basilisk II for MacOSX w/System 7.5.5 (brev68k.sit)
◦ SheepShaver for MacOSX w/MacOS 9.0.4 (brevppc.sit)
◦ MacOSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard w/Rosetta (brevcarb.sit)
[crashed on SL when copying transcript to clipboard]
◦ MacOSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard (brevimac.dmg.zip)
Comments
I have also uploaded v4.3.1 for MacOSX Intel (brevimac.dmg.zip) since this version is already 8 year's old and does not seem to be in development anymore. Rosetta not required for this one, of course. Bilingual English-Japanese documentation included.
