REQUESTS: Norton Stuff

Sorry for asking about NAV8 again, but I wanted to ask in one place. Could someone upload:
- Norton Antivirus 8 (or 9) (English)
- Norton Internet Security 3 (English)
- Norton Personal Firewall 3 (English)
- Norton Utilities 8 (English)

All of them are Carbon, but should be discounted, they don't run on Tiger or even Panther.

Especially the Utilities has been discontinued, as they mess up with the Mess OS X operating system, instead of keeping it runable.

I searched for some reviews, they all write that Utilities indeed damages disks. You told it mess up OSX, but what with OS9?

Mess OS X

... stands for Mac OS X. Wink

But for classic Mac OS (up to 9.2), Norton Utilities are fine. At one time, Norton Utilities gave me back hard disk space, when SoftPC crashed (or removing a SoftPC hard disk file, where its space not has been set free).

I use Utilities 7, they're really good, but then I realised, that there is newer version, that may be better for 9.2.2. About half year ago, my OS9 didn't want to boot. I booted Utilities 7 from my pendrive, repaired disk, and it's ok.

If it corrupts OSX, i can simply not use it on my Jaguar partition. Smile I use OS9 almost all the time I work on my iMac, OSX is just to watch DVD's(it has better DVD player).

That's actually pretty cool. I'm jealous of ppl who can do their work in OS 9 (or earlier). I'm forced to use Windows due to the work environment I'm in. Even if I could use a Mac, I need the latest web browsers (and thus latest OS) to do my work (web development). Tongue

In fact, I don't work on OS9, it's just for my classic-games, Office documents and testing old utilities software. Smile In everyday work unfortunately I have to use Windows XP and 4-core processor, modern browser is also BIG comfort.

By the way, does anybody have connection with Pandora wired-server? I remember that there was a lot of abandoned gems, but for some months, since I downloaded OSX Server 1.2v3, it's not longer available on list of trackers. Maybe there is another one with so enormous number of Classic Macintosh apps?
