What browser / computer does everyone use when accessing the garden? Modern mac / pc with up to date browsers?
Or is it the occasional 68k machine or the slightly more powerful ppc with "the latest" version of a working browser?
The question has probably been asked before, but here it is again if it has been asked ... I'm not really a pro at searching

Glad to hear from you again. I really was missing your (rare) input.
As for me, you may recall I´m not using cutting edge PCs, but like to keep things updated - including browsers like Safari or Firefox. So its option one here.
Clockwise occasionally posted some stats about his site, telling which browsers were used.
Anyway such stats would just tell a small part of "other" referring to Classilla, iCab and the like, I guess. Might be worth the effort to have such ratings for the Garden, if one is curious.

* Thanks to an incredibly useless ISP, I have no Internet access when booted in Mac OS 9.
SeaMonkey (Linux, Mac & Win) - not particularly up-to-date versions (I don't go in for auto-update features in any software or OS).
On classic Macintosh hardware, currently a Centris 660av (SSW 7.1.1) & beige G3 (Mac OS 9.1), I might use MacX 2.0 to access SeaMonkey, hosted on our gateway server. This would be infrequent tho'.
Very rarely, I will use WaMCom Mozilla on OS 9.x but its too broken to use (in the MG) for much more than browsing pages and maybe leaving comments.
I use other browsers about as infrequently, but not for accessing the MG.
Using Chrome on late-2013 iMac (the thin-edged model).

Im using TenFourFox, or Clasilla (really fast in MacOs 9), and sometimes Safari 5.0.5 with webkit upgrades...
(G5 and a Quicksilver 2002)
With OS X 10.4.11 on my G4 AGP Sawtooth 350Mhz:
Safari v4.1.3, Firefox v3.6.28, Omniweb v5.11.2, Opera v10.63
For accessing the garden: Safari
With OS 9.2.2 on second drive:
Classilla v9.2.3, Wacom Mozilla 1.3.1, Opera v6.0.3, Netcape v7.0.2, iCab v3.0.5
and Internet Exporer v5.1.7 only for some help file.
For accessing the garden: Classilla work best.
FireFox on MacMini | FireFox on Windows 8.1 at work | Classila on Mac OS 8.6 or 9.2.2 on my B&W G3 at home.
