Super 7 Utilities (aka "Super Seven Utilities") is a collection of seven utilities, similar in principle to Now Utilities, that add functionality to your Mac. The package was released not long after Apple's System 7.

The utilities all take the form of control panels (cdevs), and are as follows:

Desktop Extras 1.0, by Christopher Wysocki. Adds an "Extras" menu to the menu bar, allowing copying and moving of files in the Finder from a single menu. Also provides quick access to special destination folders such as the Apple Menu and Preferences, among others.

Helium Pro 1.0, by Robert L. Mathews. Adds a keystroke for enabling/disabling balloon help. Also allows for customizing the font and size of help balloons.

Mighty Menus 1.0, by Andrew Welch. Adds "tear-off" menus to any application.

Printer Picker 1.0, by Joe Zobkiw. Adds a printer selection menu to the menu bar (similar to the later Printer Menu Extension from Apple).

Speed Beep Pro 1.0, by Robert L. Mathews. Provides various sound and alert customization options.

Super Comments 1.0, by Maurice Volaski. Displays the Finder's "Get Info" comments with Open, Save, and Save As dialog boxes. Also preserves comments when rebuilding the desktop file.

Trash Alias 1.2, by Maurice Volaski. Allows for automatic deletion of associated aliases when the parent programs, files, or folders are deleted.

Imaged from original, untouched media as an 800k Disk Copy 4.2 disk image, compressed using StuffIt 1.5.1, and encoded as BinHex 4.0.

Serial #: 129103668. (Each control panel must be "personalized" individually.)

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

From the Super 7 Utilities "Read Me" file:

KNOWN PROBLEMS AND INCOMPATIBILITIES:

MIGHTY MENUS™
--------------

1. RADIUS WARE AND MIGHTY MENUS LOAD ORDER

Radius Ware must load before Mighty Menus. Add an extra space to the front of the name " Radius Ware" to ensure that it loads first. This should result in two spaces in its name.

2. HIERARCHICAL MENUS CRASH UNDER THE APPLE MENU

Mighty Menus can't tear off the Apple Menu. Some programs, such as Boomerang, add hierarchical menus to the Apple menu which can be torn off. However, If you tear a hierarchical menu off, you will crash. Don't tear off hierarchical menus from the Apple menu.

PRINTER PICKER™
----------------

1. SHEET FEEDER DRIVER CAUSES DUPLICATE PRINTER NAMES

Sheet Feeder installs a second LaserWriter printer driver in the System Folder. Printer Picker does not know that both of these drivers point to the same printers and hence display each printer twice. In the Search Options screen, you must de-select the driver that Sheet Feeder installed. You may have to experiment to determine which of the two LaserWriter drivers to de-select.
