This app works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II,

Strata acquired VideoShop from Avid Technologies in 1996. Strata VideoShop 3.0.4 is identical to Avid's VideoShop 3.0 with the exception of obvious brand re-badging of dialogs and icons. Strata further developed VideoShop releasing it at version 4.0/3D. Coinciding with the 4.0/3D release they gave VideoShop version 3.0.4 away for free via computer magazine CD's, globally.

This copy of VideoShop came from MacAddict magazine CD, Nov 1999. It is a full install set complete with PDF user manuals. On installation it has minimal activation and no serial is required.

Both PPC & 68k - Requires a Mac II 68020 or higher CPU. Works in both Basilisk II & SheepShaver.

Strata recommended the following system configuration:

• Computer: Quadra or Power Macintosh.
• Memory: Minimum of 5 MB of RAM. For optimal performance, at least 8 MB of RAM.
• Storage: Minimum of 40 MB of hard disk storage. Recommended, a removable storage system.
• System software: SSW 7.0.1 or later.
• System extensions: QuickTime 2.0 or later and Sound Manager 3.0 (included).

I restarted my computer and tried the install again. This time the problem disappeared and installation went fine.

My guess is that I had some sort of left-over condition from some other activity I was doing at the time.

@Gary: Care to elaborate? This doesn't happen to me and I can launch, edit clips add music and transitions and save to QuickTime .mov without it once asking me to "insert the CD". What are you doing that I am so far unable to replicate?

Actually it asks that I "insert the CD" once I launch the app. What CD would that be?
