PlayStation 1 emulator for OS X (Intel only). PCSXR means this is a ported "PC" emulator of the "PSX" that has been Rejuvenated ("Reloaded") by a new unrelated team, after the first team abandoned their project that had been named "PCSX" (and see our PCSX page for the PowerPC version of this).
dL 1 is version 1.9.92 created Aug 5 2010.
Tested works with OS X Tiger and Leopard and maybe higher.
dL 2 is a small file for testing the emulator, it's a 2D Japanese arcade game circa 1991-1999. Here are two versions, the real Japanese one plus an unofficial English translation of it.
dL 3 is a collection of bios dumps of which the emulator needs one. The highest versions that exist (like PS1-9000 series) aren't in this collection, but most or all of these will work in the emulator.
dL 4 is PCSXR created May 24 2012.
This appears to be an unofficial build "78288" that works in OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard minimum. Tested does not work in Tiger nor Leopard.
dL 5 is version 1.9.93 created Aug 26 2013.
for OS X 10.7 minimum.
Requires an Intel Mac, see: "PCSX" on another page for the PowerPC versions.
Comments
Hadn't planned on it, I'll remember it 4 later. I don't use most of the machines it emulates, and for the PS1 i'm not done exploring these PCSX + PCSXR they're doing good. Just don't name your games with .toast, it worked before but the much improved "VSeven" build here ignores .toast and only can open .iso files - rename ps1 .toast files to .iso
Are you planning to upload my mednafen port as well? It's a more recent build than PCSXR and has better compatibility regarding PSX games.
Confirmed dL 4 (version 78288) launching in OSX Snow Leopard, and dL 5 (version 1.9.93) asks for Lion minimum.
