iMac In-store Demo CD from Summer 1998, for the original Bondi Blue iMac G3

This in-store demo should be installed only on an iMac computer with Mac OS 8 or later.
Virtual memory should be turned off. Make sure QuickTime 3 is installed on the system (this should have shipped with Mac OS 8).

The installer installs “iMac In-store Demo Summer 1998” on the iMac. It places a demo launcher in the Startup Items folder so the demo starts automatically. It also adds an application and extension that automatically restart the demo after three minutes if it has been quit and the system has been inactive. It does not change the system or current software in any other way.

Download 2 worked perfectly on an original Bondi iMac with Mac OS 8.5.1. Thanks!

I'm getting a disk error...

Page above says it's for Mac OS 8, but the download is an OS X ".dmg" file which would indicate it should be accessed from OS X and the content moved from there, if needed on classic or other OS's.

I'll DL it and have a look.

[Edit] Yes, it was more suited to OS X systems. I've converted it for classic systems and uploaded it (DL #2) above.

I'm getting a disk error when trying to install or copy the data out of this image when mounted with Virtual CD Imager. Nothing else would mount it. Anyone else have success mounting/installing this?
