It has versions for Windows and Mac OS X (Intel processors only) and is written by the French company Arobas Music.

This is technically false; Guitar Pro 5 is a Universal binary, and has been tested to work on PPC on Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard.

Serial provided here didn't work for me. Added a key that did.
