Thanks, I'm gonna try making a Pro-Dos floppy formated in the Mac OS and see if I can transfer appleworks 2 files with GEMEXPLORER and HFS viewer
Link edited.
I still have no idea how to import.
At the time I switched from Apple IIGS to Mac, I runned Bernie II The Rescue, saved documents as text files on a mounted HFS formatted hard disk image, then imported the files to Mac applications.
As the Mac OS offers to format disks with ProDOS, I believe it must be able to read such images, too.
My experiences - the best Mac OS to do so is a Mac OS 7 version, The GS/OS can't handle Mac OS 8 formatted images, even HFS instead of HFS+.
The GreatWorks manual told about AppleWorks 2.0, 3.0 documents, so I thought they're talking about the Apple ][ versions, since the first AppleWorks for Mac is version 5.0, previously called ClarisWorks.
Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' with 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
Mr. IIGS_user, I think your link is broken...
Also, I would like to know how do I import files from the appleworks 2.0 from the Apple II .dsk images
Althought this is not the latest version of GreatWorks (currently 1.0.1), a later version 2.0 was also available, as this article implies:
GreatWorks 2.0 is better, but not great. (Symantec Corp.'s integrated software)
