FullWrite 2.0 (dropping "Professional") followed early in 1995, adding a number of new features including AppleScripting, importers/exporters based on Claris's XTND, a built-in table editor, an extensive and powerful plug-in architecture (including a pig Latin plug-in), and support for the "EGO Protocol" which used AppleEvents to allow in-place editing of graphics. The most important "upgrade" was a major effort concentrating on performance and memory footprint, which was reduced by about 500 kb, allowing it to run somewhat smoothly in only 700 kb. Reviews were very positive; now the main concerns were the odd menu layout that made some commands difficult to find, and the lack of a cascading style system.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

68k native, runs fine on PPC Macintosh (Mac OS 7.5.5).

Note: The following quote may be important if wanting to run this on newer PPC Macintosh systems:

POWERMAC USERS: "Make sure to read the instructions for adjusting FullWrite's preferred memory size in the "FullWrite 2 Read Me" document. You MUST turn off the Modern Memory Manager in the Memory control panel for improved reliability when using FullWrite. Due to limitations in Apple's newer systems, FullWrite does not work with System 7.6 or 7.6.1 on PowerMacs (your mileage may vary). Results with MacOS 8 and 8.1 are inconsistent, so we can't tell you if it will work on your machine. The only way to find out is to try it. Some users are able to run it without problems (see this comment), while others report reliability problems. Some users have reported removing the Picture Extension from the FullWrite Extensions folder and increasing the amount of memory allocated to FullWrite to 5MB or more helps."

Others have confirmed this works OK on 9.2.2 & Classic under OS X, so YMMV.

An interesting software. Thanks for posting about it.

[Edit: Aug, 2014] However FYI there seems to be a nicer and far friendlier location to download this software from. The free FullWrite 2.0.6 installer file is hosted here. This is a dedicated home for this program and there is also a lot of useful info regarding getting the best out of it under various Mac OS's.

Sadly, now only a page holder site. - I've uploaded FullWrite 2.0.6 to the internal server.
Those helpful pages can still be accessed via the Wayback Machine links here.
