FixFindFile patches a bug in Apple's "Find File" utility discovered by a 68kmla user in 2020. The bug prevents filtering on dates in 1999 or earlier with the system clock set to the current (21st-century) year, because in that case Find File interprets "99" as 2099, which is an illegal date in Classic MacOS (the search will find nothing).
FixFindFile is an extension -- just drop it onto your System Folder and restart.
The third link is version 1.1, which should work on international versions of System 7 without localization.
Readme included. The second download is the source code (THINK C 6).

I've added a Swedish version and bundled it together with the French and German version in the original sit file for convenience.
Hi Steve, thanks for this awesome fix!
The STR 128 ressource does need to be updated on foreign systems. I just added two localized versions (French and German) in a 1.44meg floppy image (DC6.3).

PS: For anyone reading this, it'd be great to add more translations! Just open FixFindFile with Resedit, go to STR, open STR 128 and change the "Find File" text to what this app is named on your OS, save and restart.
