Finale is considered the standard in music notation software. The only competition it has these days would be Sibelius. This version was released before CODA Music Software was sold to Net4Music, which became MakeMusic, who currently develops Finale. You can find the latest version of Finale here: http://www.makemusic.com/

Sibelius, while popular, still lacks in a number of areas, particularly in less standard notation options. And, even though Finale 2001/2002 is not sold anymore, MakeMusic, Inc. still supports Finale back to 3.0 (you can still download updates, etc.). So, it would not be wise to post such a version, as it is not considered abandonware.
Does anyone know of a newer version available (2001/2002)?
I doubt they are still selling these old versions, and Sibelius has probably stolen all their business
Cool!
It's impressive to see how software evolves,
as of now, I use the last version of FINALE, and having these two versions on the same Computer
it's like a time for a Kodak moment.
