Many years previously I developed FaceSpan 3 under contract for its owner. As part of that effort I became impressed with FaceSpan’s power and simplicity. FaceSpan 3 was successful, for a development tool, and even received an Apple Design Award at that year’s Worldwide Developers Conference. Sadly, after my involvement with the product ended, FaceSpan fell into disrepair and did not make the leap to Mac OS X. FaceSpan’s developer finally produced FaceSpan 4 which was [too] little [too] late and not as successful as hoped for.
- excerpt adapted from Mark Alldritt's blog.
FaceSpan is an application package that allows you to create sophisticated graphic user interfaces for AppleScripts and save them as stand-alone applications, thus broadening the possibilities for creating custom utilities, application integration and product prototyping.
It includes editors for scripting your application, constructing and scripting windows and menus, as well as a management environment through which you can inspect, edit, duplicate, and delete each application’s interface components and resources.
For working examples and scripts showing off FaceSpan 3's capabilities, Michael Miller's FaceSpan Snippets Page remains on line and up to date.
1st DL is FaceSpan 3.0 (CD image).
2nd DL is FaceSpan Updater from 3.0 to 3.0.1, correcting problems with accessing storage items in version 3.0.
3rd DL is an archived version of Michael Miller's FaceSpan page above, with most of its contents in a zip file.
4th DL is a series of sample FaceSpan 3.0 apps that require the FaceSpan extension (included) to run.
Serial number: FS30-6279-1105-23
The fourth download contains a series of sample FaceSpan apps that can be observed from within FaceSpan itself. They include Resource Reporter to find resources that might conflict with FaceSpan or another injected runtime, The Script Sniffer to identify all items that lack scripts in the open FaceSpan project, a sample scheduling app called FaceSpan OnTimevx.1, and FaceSpan QuickCard to show off FaceSpan's drawing and printing capabilities. All have been sourced from the FaceSpan website and confirmed to work with FaceSpan 3.0, and remain in the original StuffIt and binhexed archives within this zip file.

I just realized we never had FaceSpan 3.5.2 archived here, that's not good.
Currently looking for it, but so far, no success.
Versions 4.0 ~ 4.2 would also be interesting for earlier OS X versions (if not even OS 9, though I suspect it was strictly for OS X).
