Cubase Audio 2.51 - Preinstalled version

What Cubase Audio is?

Cubase Audio is a special version of Cubase that expands the program from being a MIDI recorder to also becoming an audio recorder. It allows you to record a virtually unlimited number of parallel audio "tracks". The actual number of simultaneous audio output channels is wholly dependent on the hardware being used. The total length of the recording is only limited by the storage capacity of your system, ie the size of your hard disk (.

Don't think of Cubase Audio as a regular tape recorder, which normally restricts you to linear recording of parallel tracks. This programs basically does everything with audio that it does with MIDI. In fact, the handling of audio is very similar to that of MIDI, allowing you to establish one working method for all of your recording and editing. You can even record MIDI and audio at the same time!

As of this writing Cubase Audio can be used with Digidesign Pro Tools (sixteen audio channels when fully expanded) Sound Tools II (four channels) Sound Tools (two audio channels) Audiomedia II (four channels) and Audiomedia (one or two cards at the same time for up to four channels).

Warning: This software is copy protected, only users with the Cubase Audio hardware key (red) *AND* the Master Disk will be able to use this software.

In my humble opinion, one of the BEST engines for the Nubus macs. Solid as a rock, great sound...Also included is the original manual, for documentation purposes -and those few lucky users out there. This certainly is a rare find!!
