We are missing version 2.2 (FAT) of this software. If you still have it, please upload it here!

CodePerfect is a versatile and easy-to-use tool for the handling of character and error codes. It can also convert text files from Mac format to Windows and vise versa and encode/decode special HTML characters (like umlauts, inverted marks, circumflexes and many others).

CodePerfect's user interface is very self-explanatory. The application works in a single window, in which all functions are performed. The needed feature is chosen by clicking one of 6 tabs or selecting one from the menu. The MultiSearch tab combines all of CodePerfect's 6 tabs' features into one function.
This ultimate tool is very useful for programmers, web designers and general Mac users.

Version 2.3 adds descriptions of 256 new error codes and decoding of HTML codes. It fixes also a bug which caused crash when encoding special HTML characters in non-HTML text file.

- Converts text files and pasted textes from Mac format to Windows and vise versa
- Files can be simply dropped onto CodePerfect's icon to be converted
- Converts (encodes) special HTML characters in HTML or text files
- Decodes HTML codes back to corresponding special characters.
- Analyzes files before encoding special characters to ensure proper conversion
- Shows ASCII codes of pressed keys
- Converts ASCII codes to corresponding characters
- Shows values in hex format
- Shows HTML special characters
- Shows Octal values
- Shows all error codes of Macintosh operating system
- Supports Drag&Drop, so you can drag desired conversions to your desktop as text clippings.
- Supports almost 100 special HTML characters and over 700 MacOS error codes.

So far, v2.3 has been usable for me without much nagging from the app's part. Sadly, the code for v2.1 did not work with v2.3. But maybe it would work for earlier versions?

Also, I think we got every version here, except the elusive v2.2.

I've added a StuffIt 3.5 archive of the CodeWizard 1.0 folder that was on the MacFormat 90 (May 2000) cover CD. It's unregistered and I don't know any registration code for it.

Oh hey, I found version 2.3 on Tucows. Smile Nice.

Version 2.2 would also be cool for 68k users. Still on the lookout for that one.
