AppleTalk diagnostic utility written by Apple and distributed to dealers.

Node Check is a public-domain program similar to CheckNet in that it collects and displays information about all known entities on the network. Broadcast requests are issued from the machine running Node Check asking all network devices and services to identify themselves. Once this is complete, a list is displayed showing the name, type, zone, node number, socket number, and network number of all the entities found.
