One of my favorite Macworld writers, John C. Welch, was a fan of Smile's PDFPen:

You might know him as a colorful and not very shy person who had plenty to say about problems found handling large deployments of Macs. Among them, bad installers:

[...] First, it’s architecture-specific. Secondly, it’s using some custom compression engine from NOS Microsystems, so the only way I can deploy this thing without doing it manually on every machine is to install it on one Mac manually, repackage it as either separate files or an Apple Installer, test out the repackaging, then distribute it. Oh, and I have to do this twice, once for Intel, once for PPC. Same thing for the Acrobat 8 Pro Patch, without the separate PPC/Intel versions. Either way, Acrobat patches take far more work than they should.

This is the reason why I stopped using Acrobat Pro with this version, using "PDF Expert" (AppStore) now.

Plus, even second hand it comes to 200 eggs.

This Acrobat 8 file has been downloaded from a link listed on the original Adobe CS2 "free" download page of 2013. As for the Acrobat 7 files uploaded previously, I did not test this version since I already have Acrobat 9 on my Mac.

This software seems to be trilingual but that needs to be confirmed by someone else just to make sure. This page also needs a few screenshots of Acrobat 8 for Mac in action. Thanks.
