Acta 7 is an outline processor, it is in the form of the Acta 7 v1.0 application and also as a DA (Macintosh "Desk Accessory") Acta DA v3.02. Acta 7 also comes with several filters to save output to RTF, TEXT, etc.

What is Acta?

Acta is an outline processor. It lets you organize just about anything -- reports, ideas, lists, projects, graphics -- in the form of an outline, where topics have subtopics.

Although giving a structure to your information is useful, where an outline processor shines is its ability to collapse the structure, showing only the most important information.

In 1991 Symmetry develops and releases Acta 7 (the above DL), taking advantage of many System 7 features.

The final classic Macintosh version of Acta was released in 1993 and can be downloaded for free from the "A Sharp" website. As well as the final version of Acta, you can also DL the "Acta Importer for Spotlight" which lets you search Acta outlines under Mac OS X 10.4 ("Tiger") and find a (Kanji) patch for Japanese systems.

Also at the A Sharp website you can find info on How to Outline using Acta and view the Acta FAQ.
