Hi,

thanks for the fix at Journeyman Project Turbo.

Removing the notice was a mistake by me.

Hi, u made a typo in your link name in the comment section Deimos Rising.

On the other hand, I am so glad that you cannot hear or see me attempting to use some French vocabulary.

Never mind, don't worry. Anyway, I will upload some (old) dictionaries Mac softwares (English/French or French/English) to the Garden soon. Smile I know that French is not easy to learn... Wink

Cheers,
MacTouch

Hi Mike,

Sorry for the modification in the FreeHand page. This word "elect" was not known into my vocabulary, so thanks for this "little" addition to it. Every words or expressions that I can learn should be interesting for my knowledge. I'm gonna upload new software soon, now. Good luck with your work here & thanks again. Wink

Best regards,
MacTouch

You should stop by the IRC chan occasionally so we could have a quick talk.

By the way Mike, since you are very much into Quark, I am desperately looking for a clean version of QuarkXPress 3.3, in French... If you see anything coming, I'll so happy!

Hi Mike,

Thxs for your important message. I will take disposition to not uploading after tomorrow, then. And will wait for the return of the MG. Wink

Have a nice end of year, cheers, and, in advance, I wish u an happy new year too. Smile

I've created a new forum topic regarding this HyperCard entry.

I felt it was going to be too long-winded to continue on in the download page so have made this one for your thoughts and input. Its not published, so you'll need to be logged in to view.

Hi Mike,

Thanks. But, unfortunately, I can't access it, may be due to the IP problems. Sad Do u want I make a "how to" ?

Cheers, MacTouch.

MacTouch

I've also have set your username, email and IP range to permanently allow. I hope this will make a difference for you. But somehow I think there is another problem between your IP and our server.

Anyway, lets see how it goes. If it still persists we will need to try something different.

If you're permanently logged in I guess that helps. What could cause you to get logged out will depend on your IP changing or if the site here is having some changes made and it goes down for some reason. Otherwise it's fairly stable.

Thank you so much, Mike. Now, it works very well. And It works also for my secondary account. But, I have to test when my IP will change... If it repeats, then, I should stay connected permanently. Wink

Cheers, MacTouch.

Hi Mike,

I have attempted to shutdown the browser after logging out & then launch it again & logging in normally. And unfortunately, the problem persists. I have also tried with another browser, it fails. I can give u the message I get however :

This host is not allowed to log in to Macintosh Garden. Please contact your site administrator.
Sorry, unrecognized username or password. Have you forgotten your password?

Meanwhile, I have to stay connected to the site. Thanks. Smile

MacTouch

Hi, that is a pain to have happening. I don't understand why it might be acting like this for you, either. I've had a look through the logs and it is oddly showing you last logging in and on June 11th! Nonsense! I've tried a couple of tweaks on your IP and we'll see how that goes. If this persists I will have to ask my boss if he can help.

Not so false these logs. As I said already before, even I'm not here, I'm still logged in the site. I don't need to log out because I'm literally "scotched" (glued) on the tracker page. Like this, I have just to refresh the page to see what's new. It's faster than log in, click or select the page & then, refresh. But I was thinking even if I stay connected here, my IP can change in the meantime. And may be that's why the server ask me to change my password... It must think about two or more used IP during the same connection. The date u have noticed is certainly the day I was suddenly disconnected before it deny access & ask me to change my password several times. It ask me too for the second account I have...

Huh, u have a boss ? Well, I never figured out something else that u are the only boss here. I hope u won't have to disturb your boss. Wink

Cheers, MacTouch.

It appears that you've been beaten to the post in adding these archives, by bertyboy. He must have seen your post and decided to jump in and upload them himself.

Ah well, it saves you the bandwidth and time I suppose.

Yeah, I've seen it. Never mind, the ones I have downloaded are preinstalled versions... And, I have picked them from the site semv showed... So, bertyboy has better archives, well done to him.

I have all the time necessary if it is required. No problem with that too. Actually, my bandwidth is good, not all the time in a day, but most of days, it's good. But, yeah, sometimes, it's down & out. I have now only this connection, as the other optimized for download is definitively closed for the time being. However, I need to hold the connection open, if not, I can't reconnect the computer immediately to Internet. I have noticed besides that I need to change my password all the time I wanna disconnect & reconnect later to the site. I suppose the server don't like my IP. Smile If u can do something... Thanks.

I see that semvalidade2006 also replaced the broken part files with a fresh copy. He has made replacement copies previously when its pointed out to him. I wish tho' that all files were tested before uploading. It saves a lot of time in the long run. Not that I'm faultless, as I've not tested all archives I've uploaded (I usually do but sometimes I forget to).

Yep, but he didn't remove the redundant... Well, never mind with that. We should test the files, but finally, we don't. It's not only u, it's most of people. And u have no such time for it. Don't worry about that. We are doing that we can, even we should do more, but unfortunately, we're not so perfect .

Great to see you got a 1.x GB file up in one piece, too

Aah, well, I am connected since the last saturday. If I cut off the connection, I can't reconnect before the next saturday. I say that because this connection is free for me. And sometimes, the upload are faster than the download. Curious... But if I can help with it, I will do. However, if this connection is "closed", I can use another free one, but this one is poor in upload. It was also a test, I don't know if it will works also with biggest files. But I can say that clicking on the "save" button instead of "upload" after file selection seems avoiding any error like http 0. It's fogWraith who was suggesting this advice. Smile

You may not need to DL those Unreal archive parts (if you don't need them). I see that aurelios69 has found a solution to his problem with these files.

Well, I've seen that it works for him. And I'm happy that u have greatly helped him. He said you're awesome & it's true. Previously, u said we have a similar experience. I believe u are better than me, especially with software issues I never encounter. Unreal archives is now ready. No problem found, except that the one piece file finished with ".zip_", instead of ".zip" in its name. I have renamed it, but the Apple decompression program wanna recompress or archive it. So, I have tested with The Unarchiver & it works. May be, I will keep this game finally. I like Unreal, the original... Wink

Cheers, MacTouch.

Thanks for your answer, Mike. It's always a pleasure to read your posts, while u have no much time to write them. I've seen that the files are replaced, good. There are some others files that are not working. On the page I've created for Mac OS X Server 10.3, for example. Besides that, there are some redundant files too. I think it's because the files are not finalized. May be the uploader will replace the files soon with a larger one finally. It depends from its bandwidth and error "http=0". Beyond that, I must notice u with another problem. On the page Freedom Force, the link is not working for everybody, like me. So, I have put another link in a post who is working for me. But I don't know if it works for anyone. The link on the page is working for mrdav. I don't know why it's not working elsewhere. May be it is because it's on the uk that it's working for mrdav ? Well, it's rather strange (with no firewall nor proxy activated for my part). Just have a look if u can take time. Thanks in advance & thanks again for all your help. Oh & of course, I don't wanna fill out all of your page... Wink

Cheers, MacTouch.

MacTouch

Hi Mike,

I hope that things are going well for u. I am testing the new splitted files uploaded on the website & especially the two for an eMac. It appears that the files are not working. I have already asked the uploader to replace them. I am looking further for testing other files. I have some of them that seem corrupted, but I am downloading them again. On the other hand, I'm not sure that too long filenames are needed here, just for everybody not familiar with that, but, it's only my point of view & it's not very important. Wink

Cheers, MacTouch.

Looking at the server logs, it appears the server software was thinking your posts were spam attempts. I am sorry for that. The server can be pretty stupid (tho' it does stop actual real spammers several times a day also).

So, never mind, all right. The connection was so slow at some point, that generates this kind of problem. I've got the same with my mails... Wink

MacTouch

Sorry for the multiples posts on multiples StarCraft pages. Well, I have encounter some connection problems today. Of course, I'm not gonna spamming the website. In the meantime, I have realized that it would be certainly better to create a forum topic. That's what I've done that finally. All of the remainings posts, now useless, can be deleted according to your wishes. Thanks.

Cheers,
MacTouch

Same. I also read about these "new" Macs and thought, "I want one". But as it turned out I did acquire one eventually, and the price was a very affordable free

I am happy that you've got one of them. I'm sure that it fill all your desires. Smile

I liked the pix of the "Teapot". It looks just like my 660av except for the Teapot label, I don't like to think what price the seller is hoping for. The price of old Macson eBay here has gone ridiculous.

Yeah. I'm not interested to buy his machine for myself, whatever the price & even it's a prototype. But, it's true, it looks very well...

MacTouch

Hi Mike,

Thanks for taking time to read my page. Wink Well, happy to know that we have similar experiences. I already know that u own a 630 DOS, as I've seen some of your posts about it. Don't have regrets about the beasts 8xxx/9xxx, as it's like other Beige Mac, but simply faster. And of course, they can get between 3 & 6 PCI slots, a lot of RAM & space for additional drives. But finally, I prefered the Beige G3 instead. Personally, I don't like the PowerMac G5. However, when Apple proposed "Tempest" & "Cyclone" (Centris 660AV & Quadra 840AV), I was excited about it. I never bought such machines, because not enough money for. Besides that, someone is proposing a prototype of a 6100. It's a "Teapot" one & it's here, Teapot. Like u, I own some olds Intel Mac Mini. Perhaps we have the same tastes in olds Mac. Smile

Cheers,
MacTouch
