Looking at the server logs, it appears the server software was thinking your posts were spam attempts. I am sorry for that. The server can be pretty stupid (tho' it does stop actual real spammers several times a day also).

So, never mind, all right. The connection was so slow at some point, that generates this kind of problem. I've got the same with my mails... Wink

Sorry for the multiples posts on multiples StarCraft pages. Well, I have encounter some connection problems today. Of course, I'm not gonna spamming the website. In the meantime, I have realized that it would be certainly better to create a forum topic. That's what I've done that finally. All of the remainings posts, now useless, can be deleted according to your wishes. Thanks.

Same. I also read about these "new" Macs and thought, "I want one". But as it turned out I did acquire one eventually, and the price was a very affordable free

I am happy that you've got one of them. I'm sure that it fill all your desires. Smile

I liked the pix of the "Teapot". It looks just like my 660av except for the Teapot label, I don't like to think what price the seller is hoping for. The price of old Macson eBay here has gone ridiculous.

Yeah. I'm not interested to buy his machine for myself, whatever the price & even it's a prototype. But, it's true, it looks very well...

Hi Mike,

Thanks for taking time to read my page. Wink Well, happy to know that we have similar experiences. I already know that u own a 630 DOS, as I've seen some of your posts about it. Don't have regrets about the beasts 8xxx/9xxx, as it's like other Beige Mac, but simply faster. And of course, they can get between 3 & 6 PCI slots, a lot of RAM & space for additional drives. But finally, I prefered the Beige G3 instead. Personally, I don't like the PowerMac G5. However, when Apple proposed "Tempest" & "Cyclone" (Centris 660AV & Quadra 840AV), I was excited about it. I never bought such machines, because not enough money for. Besides that, someone is proposing a prototype of a 6100. It's a "Teapot" one & it's here, Teapot. Like u, I own some olds Intel Mac Mini. Perhaps we have the same tastes in olds Mac. Smile

Hi Mike,

Well, I'm glad too. However, I have not a new Internet connection. It's always the same. But, some days, it works well, others days, not. It's like a lottery... Well, I think I will now add a little description of me on the guestbook & if u interested to read it, you're welcome of course. I will do that probably in a few days. Meanwhile, I can say that I owned a large collection of Macintosh's softwares on CD some years ago. Yep, it was considered like piracy or equivalent. Now, it's slightly different... I owned too much that I can use. There were a lot of PhotoShop's Plug'ins & many X'tensions (XPress). Well, now, I have lost all of them 5 years ago after a moving. But, fortunately, I have retrieved a lot through you. So, thanks again for your devotion to preserve them. Smile

Hi Mike,

Yes, I understand that it will be boring to move larger files from this page to another one. In any case, my connection was so "randomized", well. Never mind, don't worry. But, finally, I retrieved my best connection today. And, now, surprise ! the page is complete & ready. May be the force is with us for now... Wink If you have any trouble with the modifications added, just let me know, then. Ah & another good surprise for the end... It's in the title ! Smile

Hi Mike,

Well. Today is a bad day. Sad Nothing going to work correctly. No network, no web, nothing... There is 5 discs for the page, 1 DVD & 4 CD, but I'm trying to add only the third, as the fourth is very small. This one can be added easily after moving the page. The only problem is for the 3rd disc. It is already "splitted" like all the others (except the small one) before the beginning of the uploads. But even "splitted" or not, the upload may fails. My connection must be strong enough to support that. In that case, even u are doing other tasks, the connection must support it. The only reason of failure is the too slowest bandwidth. I hope retrieving a good one very soon.

Hi Mike,

Well, for the moment, all my tentatives are vain. Perhaps, I will receive a "boost" with my connection during monday, but not sure... Downloading is also slow, but I can continue DL the files where it was stopped & I have DL the Disc 2 & it's ok. Sorry for taking your time. Yesterday, I was disconnected suddenly. If I can, I must stay connected, not here especially, but on the Internet. I can't reconnect immediately if not & I have to wait a long time for a reconnection. So, even if u see me connected, I'm not... Well, I hope finishing my "touches" (yeah) anyway. I will try another attempt for now, wait & see...

Hi Mike,

Ok. That's looking very good. All the checksums are corrects. And I'm so happy to learn that the DVD is bootable and operational. There is the 3rd CD who needs to be uploaded. But actually, the connection is too slow to hope a successful transfer, even it's a part. So, I'm waiting for another moment to do that...

Beyond this, I will add a serial number on the page later, because it's required for uses. I have also the Apple Part Number of this product. Should I add it too ? I will complete the page once all the definitives files are uploaded into it. Smile

Hi Mike,

Today is a good day. I have uploaded all of the part files for the DVD image & the 2 first CD. Yesterday, only 6 files & now, 18 on the page!!! As you can see & for the moment, you will have to rebuild only the DVD image (no more taff finally Smile ). Yes, my bandwidth has been accelerated since the morning (but not actually, too slow...). So, the last file pass, but just in time. Tongue Just tell me if you need MD5 checksum. I will try tomorrow for the last file(s)...

Well, I have a request. Perhaps, you have the same idea in mind, but I wonder if I can create a new page. A "definitive" page for the public where you can upload all the definitives files. But, if so, I will complete it soon. I am thinking about next monday because it's a special day for me. The actual page looks good, but there is too much changes now on it.

In the meantime, there is a request for the next version (Leopard Server) now. Even we can found & upload this one, we are just in time or we'll have to wait the end of 2017/beginning of 2018 to add (10 years since the release date, 2007) ? I think mrdav know that or may be you. But, if I can find it, I will tell you.

Hi Mike,

Yes, that's what I was thinking about. But, finally, you're right before, my Internet connection is bad at some moments. I have only to wait for the best. May be on the night... If I get a chance, I will arrive to finish this task very soon. On the night, the connection looks more reliable & faster. So, now, may the force be with us... Wink

The last tentative has failed at the end. But, it seems that's not the connection which is more stable for now. Otherwise, yes, I think a lot of files is not desired if it slowing the page, but they are not destined to stay in place, they must be removed & replaced with the definitive file. I have launched a newer attempt with the first 150 MB file, may be this one will be ok. Of course, I hope so.

Hi Mike,

There is disturbances during the journey with the uploads. No one can access or seeing this page, except u & me, I suppose... So, the problems could only comes from my "bad" connection. I'm in the upload part of the first big file (at least, the 10th tentative), & for the moment, it's good. But, if it fails, I will try with 30 MB files size max only. In that case, it must be working better. But, 80 files will be added on the page, however...

Hi Mike,

Perfect. Thanks. Any help would be much appreciated, especially from u. Of course, I will begin tomorrow as planned. If I can choose between two connections, I will take the fastest for uploads. Wink

Hi Mike,

Yes, please let me know. I may be able to help with this endeavor.

Well. It's "Mac OS X Server 10.4" & I have not actually the possibility of testing it. I hope u will enjoy it if it's ok. I'm not sure that it will be easy for me to upload it. There is always some troubles with my connection. I hope however all will be allright on saturday... Wink

Hi Mike,

Thanks. I haven't seen your message before due to the big power failure of the MG website.

Well. All very intriguing

I will be interested to see what this is all about.

You will see that soon. May be "semvalidade2006" will help me with bandwidth. I hope he will do. But I'm afraid the task will take a long time before he could uploading all the definitives files. And when all will be finished, may be it can gives u additional work. If u want to know what is it, just let me know before saturday. I have not tested it yet also, because it's not actually possible for me, but I wonder if u would test yourself. Well, now, I'm gonna keep quiet, so... Wink

Hi Mike,

Well, I have finished the preparation of the files. Finally, I have used BetterZip, instead of Split & Concat for that first task. Then, Split & Concat is good for join all the files in only one. And when I decompress the zip file obtained, it works. I have compared it with the original, they look identicals. I have used MD5 for that & I have also all the checksums now. That looks good I think. All the parts are 150 MB larger size max. I hope that will pass with my connection bandwidth. I'm gonna look for someone to help me now...
