The Murder Mystery series is an effort by Creative Multimedia to translate a passive experience of reading a murder mystery to an active multimedia gaming experience. This evolution appears logical and sets a trend for other developers soon to follow. The series has undergone a name change from Virtual Murder to Murder Mystery. The fourth (and last) title of the series, Murder Mystery 4: Who Killed Taylor French? The Case of the Undressed Reporter, gives the player an opportunity to become an armchair detective.
You are a detective called to investigate the death of Taylor French. French is a young newspaper reporter whose professional curiosity has scared a few people in town. She has many powerful friends, but also has many shady enemies who want her dead. You have only 6 hours to solve this murder. With the help of your assistant Lucie Fairwell, you must carefully examine the crime scene, retrace the victim's last steps, interrogate the suspects, and analyze the results of forensic testing. Is this murder an act to forever keep her silence, or is the murder secondary to an alternate motive? Before you can present the evidence to the judge for warrant application, you must answer to the public by holding a press conference. Only with diligent detective skills can you catch the killer.

Comments
If the current 3rd one is a *working* English version, I'm ready to remove the 2nd file.
Nice, Grenier du Mac found a french version of this game:
Grenier du Mac/Qui a tué Pam Taylor ?
I realized the opportunity to catch the other games from this series as well...
(still needs to be uploaded, thought).
Done (second d/l above).
Thanks MikeTom,
in the meanwhile I've detected that UnrarX writes a temporary file to the folder ("TAYLOR_FRENCH.mdf.ecm") which will be moved to the trash folder automatically after performing the Unrar process using UnrarX. Problem is, the description included in the d/l says, run unecm.bat (which reads "unecm TAYLOR_FRENCH.mdf.ecm"), which will not work if the file in request has been removed automatically.
Luckily, I was able to rescue it from trash before emptying it.
Before I've tried to run the resulted file in W7 and XP w/o success.
Now, with the missing file in request, it works, regardless if W7 or XP:
"Decoding TAYLOR_FRENCH.mdf.ecm to TAYLOR_FRENCH.mdf",
which is, in result, a CD image (Mac OS X Finder said this, thanks to the Application AnyToISO).
Do you have PPC Mac OS X? If so, I usually get good results using "RarMe" on this platform. RarMe is a AppleScript Studio wrapper type app, it gives a GUI to the shareware command line RAR app for OS X from RARLabs. You might get better results with this, too. RarMe & links to the command line RAR, here.
External d/l is dead,
therefore I've re-d/led this from Adventure Legend, but Stuffit Expander says,
"The file structure is damaged". Also, UnrarX reported 2 errors trying unraring the files.
Any thoughts to unrar this with success?
German version has been uploaded to internal server (first download above).
Thanks for adding the english version, this is very much appreciated.
Too bad, it's larger than the internal upload limit, but keep the Windows version whenever possible.
That's good to know. I don't really understand the purpose of ecm. Most times you're going to archive the disc image with zip or rar etc and they have their own checksum routines to ensure the file is valid.
I have Taylor French downloaded, converted and stuffed. Just need to upload it now.
For the ECM format; here´s a link to an OSX app un-compressing to more sensible format:

I´m using this one and in combination with 'AnyToISO' you´re game with any funny file combos. 8)
I don't have time to download, repack and reupload them, but here's three of the games at Adventure Legends (a great source for hybrids if they exist).

PS: I took a look at the nfo for one and you'll probably need Windows of some variety to handle the disk images (ecm and alcohol). I'll see what I can do over the next few days.
Update: I'm downloading this one now. Will post a link later.
I came across a german version of this game (including german voices),
but if anyone meets its english version, please add to this page.
Sorry, I didn't meet Sam Rupert yet.
