A video showing the game is available in Cornica.

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans is a real time strategy game (RTS), that is, the contenders play at the same time and continuously, so that players have to move quickly. One player represents the Human habitants of Azeroth, and the other controls the invading Orcs.

Each side tries to destroy the other by collecting resources and creating an army. In addition both sides have to ward off dangers from wild monsters, but sometimes can use some monsters as troops. The game plays in a medieval setting with fantasy elements. Both sides have melee units and ranged units, and also spellcasters.

Added original MS-DOS/Mac CD in bin/cue format, and converted to toast for native mounting in Mac OS with Virtual DVD/CD utility.

The second download at top-right is an updater.

Architecture: 68k PPC

Minimum system requirements:

Runs in Classic.

By default in SheepShaver the game is so slow it's unplayable (even when you play at "Game Speed: Fastest" in the preferences). To play at a almost full pace Ctrl + Option (Windows logo key) when clicking in the Game Speed drop down list. Some hidden options will appears. Select "Lunatic" (the last one) to play at almost full speed.
Comment: As Lunatic is game playable, but still slower than even normal on PC and
key and mouse scrolling even as slowest speed is way to fast, so its "playable".

In Basilisk II is too slow too.

The best Warcraft. This was when it was awesome; Warcraft II had some improvements like being able to select 9 units instead of 4, and sea/air units. However it also had the faggy Elves. Trust me; the original is still the best.

I think you could slow down mouse scrolling in the options menu, did you try that? Anyway, awesome classic, loved it. Wish someone could put up WarCraft II as well? It's even better than the first WarCraft..

Yes. You have to survey the terrain by moving the white square on the mini-map or by centering the screen on a unit.

The mouse speed is way way too fast in classic and on original OS 9 macs.
