This game works with: Basilisk II,

A WWII naval strategy game set in the Pacific. Replay the big naval battles as either the Japanese or Americans.

Players can take total control of the battles including rearranging battle groups, managing carrier flight assignments, amphibious landings, and command assignments.

VaS is a "real-time" game that can be paused to issues orders.

See the screenshots for a list of some of the battles.

Unfortunately, I could not find the manual and the game looks like it could have a steep learning curve without it.

There are 3 files here. "Victory at Sea 1.0.sit" is a folder containing the entire game. It is not a disk image. Just un-stuff and play.

"Victory at Sea 1.0.1 patch" is the patch file for the 1.0 game. It has the patch instructions and changes in a read me file. I could not get the patch to work on my copy, so it may or may not work.

"Victory at Sea 1.0.2" is actually the 1.0.2 beta 1. The sit file contains a Stuffit installer broken into 5 floppy sized files. It contains the entire game and appears to be playable. The change list is in the folder.

This was tested in OS 9 on a G4 and ran fine. It ran way too fast though and I saw no way to slow it down in the game. A speed throttling app may be needed for the speedier computers.

It should run fine on OS 7, but I have not had a chance to actually try it yet.
