To start with, these two CD images aren't OEM, they're writeable and tho they come locked now, they were once opened (in Tiger) while not locked, and have been changed, but most likely this won't affect anything.

Next, they are Toast images but are missing the .toast filename extension. After uncompressing them, unlock them, add .toast to each image file name, relock them. Now OSX Disk Utility will act friendlier toward them.

I'll see if I can run it . . . yes, in OSX Tiger Classic mode. The "Vampire Play" disc ain't recognized by the game's protection if mounted with Apple Disk Utility. By mounting the image using Toast (v5.2) it gets recognized. It crashes trying to start a game from OSX Classicmode. OSX Jaguar 10.2.8 doesn't need Toast, the CD is recognized if mounted with Apple software, however the game still crashes.

OS9 still Apple Disk software isn't recognized by the game's protection. Toast (v5.2) and "Virtual..." both make the Play CD recognized for play, but install has issues. I don't have OpenGL in OS9 but I get crash errors trying to start new game just like many commenters described already.

Either there is wicked/effective copy protection happening and/or this isn't an OS9 game and we should see if an OS8'er member can make this work.

Hello. I just cannot get this game to work. I got it installed just fine but it wont recognized the image as mounted. I tried the suggestion on the post below of using Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility it doesn't want to mount it.
if someone could make a clearer explanation of how to get this image to work or make a no cd would be great. please.

I managed get it run, Play cd has to be mounted by Virtual cd rom, not by Roxia Titanium.

Install is was also problematic, when it want 2cd just reboot computer and copy 2CD data to game directories manually.

OpenGL package is on install CD, same as GameRocket, java MRJ could be downloaded from this site.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption don't work in mac os 9.2.2. The game will not install the game.
The game goes in CD loop with CDs. When I install the Vampire install disc the game said install vampire play disc then game said insert vampire install disc. It will not install. When you burn the game. The game problem above. I burn both CDs to tried play the game. When I mounted the toast image with toast or virtual CD imager and locked it. When install the game with Vampire install disc and game said insert the Vampire play disc then game don't install the game.

same problem as tanner; any ideas?

Probably the same problem as exists in Settlers 2 or other CD-ROM based games.
In Classic Mode, the CD-ROM will not be recognized by its game, even if inserted.

Anyone had any issues getting this to run? It keeps crashing when I attempt to start a new game... I have tried all three install options; troubleshooting extensions; tweaking graphics settings down; disabling movies/inputsprocket etc. I even burned 2 cds as I thought maybe that would work rather than image mounting. It seems no matter what I try I get error 1, 2 or 3 upon starting a new game. This is in Mac OS 9.2.2 on a PowerMac G4.
