Guides on emulating older games

Set on a hidden pirate island and starring some of history's scurviest sea dogs, Tropico 2: Pirate Cove casts the player as an all-powerful Pirate King managing a seventeenth century band of buccaneers. The traditional economic model of the original Tropico is reversed: the player maintains his/her wealth not through the production of materials, but by plundering merchants on the high seas and bringing the victims back to the island as captive workers. Not necessary to burn cds. Installs full contents of both CDs to the harddrive. Game will prompt you for "Tropico 2 Disk 1" to be mounted in order to play. You can mount Disk 1 toast image with OSX, but that wastes 700MB to keep the toast image at hand, when all it needs is an empty image named "Tropico 2 Disk 1". Create your own empty image (in Tiger) by making an empty new folder named "Tropico 2 Disk 1" in your home folder, then in Terminal type "hdiutil create -srcfolder Tropico\ 2\ Disk\ 1 T2D1_discless.dmg" - you'll then find the new empty image file also in your home folder. Keep it on hand instead, and mount it to play.

Game plays in as low as OS X 10.2.8 ~ always can use more games for the Smeagol operating system, there's never enough.

There is a 100-page Guide pdf, on Disk 2.
