Theldrow is a turn-based computer role-playing game, written in 1989 by Glenn Andreas. The game featured a turn-based first person perspective interface similar to early Might and Magic games, pixel art (originally black-and-white), and a very original fantasy setting. It is a very difficult game.
DL #1 is v. 2.3 (folder)
DL #2 is v. 2.2 (folder) and contains a help file and the Theldrow Mythologies file
CompatibilityThe top download contains both the color and B&W versions of the game.

Thanks, mrdav! I was worried it might have been lost to time and didn't expect anyone to find it, certainly not so quickly!
I've been trying to collect some general info & cheating tips (since this is such a hard game), and the mythology was noticeably lacking background. With this file and the Hypercard stack shared by Carl, I put a small Tips & Cheats page over on Cythera Guides.
I have to say, even though I'm a bigger fan of his other RPG Cythera, once I got into Theldrow, I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit. Glenn Andreas has a talent for creating fantasy worlds with rich backstories, although we only get a glimpse of it through the games themselves.
---->Does anyone have the "Mythology of Theldrow" file? <---
see v. 2.2 that is now uploaded
Does anyone have the "Mythology of Theldrow" file? It's referenced in the documentation but not included in this download.
The above DL contains both b&w and color versions of the game.
I would be interested in the B&W version since I am running on a real toaster mac.
The download link here did not work for me - the .sit extracts, but the resulting "Boden" file is not an runnable. The download from http://www.old-games.com/download/4081/theldrow works fine though.
I played the CRAP out of this game. There was a sinister cheat of bartering, rebuying and reselling that could get you virtually unlimited money. This made it very easy to cheat, but took a long time to accrue.
A great adventure game!
Naturally.
I would also think so.
About the HyperCard stack:
Hm...
Manual upload seems to be a good idea, better than a separate upload.
Please, wrap it into .img.sit before uploading, as usual.
What do we do with cheat documents? I have a Hypercard stack with a complete map of this game. Should I just upload it as the manual?
I also have the B&W version, but since this version works in B&W too, that doesn't need to be uploaded right?
This game was awesome and hard as all-get-out. I never managed to beat it because I would get so close, then die. Anyone want to share the solution?
