For System 6.x - Mac OS 9
Emulation
This game works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II,

Quote from Wikipedia (about the original fable):

The story concerns a hare who ridicules a slow-moving tortoise and is challenged by him to a race. The hare soon leaves the tortoise behind and, confident of winning, decides to take a nap midway through the course. When he awakes, however, he finds that his competitor, crawling slowly but steadily, has arrived before him.

I think this will work all the way down to System 6 although sound drop-outs may occur according to the user's guide.

You should turn off your screen saver and virtual memory. "Living books are designed to use 2500K of memory in your Macintosh."
It also requires a 32-bit clean computer.

Mac OS 7 to 9.2, Windows 3.1/95

Published by Living Books, a Random House/Brøderbund company.
This game can be played in either English or Spanish.
