The Sims Complete is a compilation of the original; The Sims, Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar, and Makin' Magic.

System Requirements

Note: Official support is limited to the minimum system requirements, however, performance testing indicates that the game is playable on systems originally supported by the later expansions.

Minimum System Requirements:
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later
CPU Processor: PowerPC G3 or later
CPU Speed: 500MHz or faster
Memory: 256 MB or higher
Hard Disk Space: 3.5 GB or higher
Video Memory (VRAM): 4 MB or higher
Media Required: DVD Drive

Recommended System Requirements

Recommended System Requirements:
Sims Complete runs best on a Power Mac G4
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later
CPU Processor: PowerPC G4
CPU Speed: 1.0 GHz or faster
Memory: 512 MB or higher

1st download is The Sims Complete Collection. The game has English and German version also include all expansion.

2nd download is a NoCD / NoDVD pre-cracked executable to replace specifically version 2.9.1 of The Sims Complete (English). Created with the tool from the 3rd download.

3rd download contains a NoCD / NoDVD crack tool which changes the game's executable not to require physical media to be inserted for playing. The tool itself works only under Mac OS X, but the resulting file runs under both Mac OS and Mac OS X, like the original game file.

Architecture: PPC (Carbonized)

Tested the game and crack on power mac G4 1.25 Gz mirror door 2003 on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and Mac OS X 10.5.8 and it will play. Mac OS X 10.6.8 with Rosetta not tested.

The game also works with Mac OS 9.2.2 once installed. May or may not work all the way down to Mac OS 8.6, assuming CarbonLib 1.6 is installed.

Incidentally, regarding this upload, after I installed it on Mac OS 9, I noticed there was an English version executable and a French one. The description on this page says it's both "English and German" rather than "English and French", though. Am I missing something?

No kidding! I have a couple of zipped items that I've had no luck extracting on my Chromebook's Android Basilisk II running OS8. It's quite frustrating to be jumping around on different machines (which I haven't setup in quite some time) just to work with .zip files on old OSes Sad

Man, we really need an OS-X-ZIP decompressor on Mac OS 9 and earlier. Regular unzipping + manually joining the resource and data forks file by file, and that too without drag & drop, is really not the way to go, and OS-X-zipped archives for software that works in OS 9 and earlier are simply everywhere.

If I ever write a Mac program in my life, the first one will have to be an OS-X-ZIP decompressor as a FAT binary, and call it PurgeZip or something. Hopefully just enough code can be borrowed from The Unarchiver and/or this (assuming that code isn't exclusive to AppleSingle), although I doubt it will be that simple.

Launches on 10.6.8 via Rosetta, at least on a 2008 Mac Pro.

I sure don't understand what im doing wrong with this, a had a previous base install of The Sims, working just fine OS 9 w/ CarbonLib 1.6- however this download after copied over- Starting game with "Sims Complete" just throws error that Mac OS 8.6 or higher is required.... you don't say..

How can I play the Sims in German? The text says that the game is in English and German. But I only find English and French. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Then according to the other Sims pages, this should work in OS 8 also.

How does it run when compared to it running on OS X? I know it technically shouldn't make a difference, I'm just curious on the off chance that there is. Smile

Works under Mac OS 9 as well.
