From the attached review in Inside Mac Games:

Worth the Time Slip? But, overall, I found Journeyman to be always straining to try to be a revolutionary concept in gaming but never quite busting out of the mold of what we have today into what we may have tomorrow. What it does—it does superbly. It's one of the best computer role-playing, puzzle-oriented adventure games—possibly the best if we limit discussion to the Mac. But given the possibilities of its graphics and CD-ROM interface one can look at this and have a great deal of respect for it and still say, "Gee, I wish they had gone that extra mile into the real future of gaming." But, I'm willing to bet their next release may.

The version of Pegasus Prime that is for sale is for Mac OS X. It is not clear to me from the product information whether they have an OS 9 version included.

Have their been any updates with this? I have a copy I'm willing to add to the catalog if it's permitted. It's been five years since the developer apparently commented to a Macintosh Garden user that they were looking at modernizing the game but I haven't heard or seen any developments since.

EDIT: I would submit that this game clearly falls within the definitions of abandonware described here.

Talked with the developer recently. They may be looking to update this for modern OS's. Good news if it pans out.

Sorry but I have no access to the most of my stuff until middle of May. Sad The RS link seems to work though.

Swedebear, any chance you could re-upload your file? It says it was deleted because it had not been downloaded in 30 days.

Grr, MegaShare keeps giving partial downloads. If anyone can get this RAR file downlaoded, can they host on a more reliable service ?

...and I would love to upload my copy which is over +300MB(uncompressed)
Cancun´s slow season strikes on september (and I´ll have plenty of time to do it)
still, I don´t think your copy is different than mine.

@Euryale; sorry for bashing in here but had this link done for someplace elsewhere and thought it could work here in meanwhile. Love to get my hands on your copy though as it's probably closer to the origin than my stuff. Wink

Sorry about the broken links,
ever since I moved down to Cancun I lost control over some accounts,
good thing I brought this game with me in my Laptop,
(as a matter of fact I was playing it yesterday)
so I still have the .TOAST file and as soon as I get my new Internet account
I´ll upload it again.
This is a great game.

Thanks for testing! I don't know what to do about it though.

This is actually the Very first game I ever played on a Windows PC,
I remember it came bundled with the Packard Bell PC my Parents bought for me in '95
I still have the PB install CD and surprisingly has a lot of good programs included,
but they're for Winworld so that's another story..

Anyway the Mac version is much better than the Windows version.

This is a nice game, and I have to add that it works fine on 68k architecture as well,
plays very smooth under Basilisk OS 8.1.
