For the first time in gaming history, after countless games depicting various aspects of the rich Star Wars universe (including some we never wanted to see), players have the chance to step into the boots of the average soldier in the wars that raged across the galaxy. Gameplay is based on the successful standards set by Battlefield 1942, but combat in Battlefront is even more massive and heated, vehicles are more predominant and the familiar starships are also included. There are three different game modes to play: Historical Campaign (featuring a series of "historical" battles from the Star Wars mythos), Conquest (in which players vie for dominance of individual planets) and, of course, Instant Action. The game puts two pairs of factions at war: Republic vs Separatists and Rebel Alliance vs Galactic Empire. Each faction has four standard unit types (soldier, heavy weapons trooper, scout and pilot) plus a fifth, special unit which differs radically for each side. Famous Jedi and Sith are included as NPCs only in selected battles. Finally, the game offers almost all of the vehicles seen in the movies for players to fly, drive or hover and prevail. (MobyGames)

hey it worked once i installed the patch, thanks for the help
@CivilKink: See the 3rd screenshot on this page.
well, it downloaded... but what is the CD key?
this is one of my favorite games, so i really hope it works
ok, thanks. i’m trying burning the dvd one final time. if that doesn’t work, i will try it with toast.
@CivilKink: Another possible reason for incomplete verification could be if your DVD burner is wearing out. In my experience, they eventually fail to do a burn properly (especially of DVDs).
ok, thanks. i’m trying burning the dvd one final time. if that doesn’t work, i will try it with toast.
@CivilKink: Yes, the top download is the correct image. You can try on another computer, the problem you're having may be more to do with DVD+R, you may get better results with DVD-R with Macs.
Another problem could be that you may have mounted the DVD image unlocked? This would cause the Mac Finder to write hidden OS X files to the image which could cause problems with writing the disc back to DVD. In which case you should also start over with a fresh .toast image extracted from the zip archive and made sure the toast image is locked before you do anything else with it.
Also, you probably don't need to burn this to a DVD. Just try mounting the (locked) DVD image using Toast and running the installer from that, choosing a full install. You will also need the No DVD toast image when it comes to playing the game. Use Toast to mount the no DVD toast image before you play the game. Hope it works for you.
ah, i see. should i try burning the dvd in a different computer, because i got an error on the one i was using? also, was i using the right file?
@CivilKink: The "No DVD" file is so you can mount it then play the installed game without needing the full DVD inserted into the CD/DVD drive each time you want to play the game. It's not a substitute for installing the game.
i eventually got it to pop up. however, whenever i burn my dvds, it says something along the lines of “verification could not be completed”. This is causing it to not install properly. i am using the file Star_Wars_Battlefront.toast_.zip burned to a dvd+rw. I believe this is a problem with my dvd drive, so i will try to burn it on my imac g5 later. How can i do it with no dvd, as that should cause less problems?
@CivilKink: there should be a .pkg installer icon named "Install Star Wars Battlefront.pkg" in the center of that white space in your picture. Scroll down in this page to see what it should look like. There's a screenshot of it further down in this page.
No idea what's going on with yours tho'. Can you make that window larger to see if you can see the .pkg file? it may be misplaced.
Are you comfortable with using the Terminal? You could cd into /Volumes/Star\ Wars\ Battlefront and then type ls -a to see if you can see the name "Install Star Wars Battlefront.pkg" in there.
And if you do see it, type (or copy and paste this): open Install\ Star\ Wars\ Battlefront.pkg then hit the Enter key and it should launch the install program.
i burned the iso to a dvd, but this is as far as i got... any tips on howto get it to work? https://ibb.co/K9pNhYV
how can i get this installed on my powermac mdd?
working in Jaguar 10.2.8 - tho I did use Tiger to install it in case that makes a diff.
9.2 is not OSX.
You need to either run 10.3 - 10.5 on a real PPC machine (G4, G5).
Or for PPC support you need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 (with Rosetta installed) on an Intel machine.
See Compatibility section above - Minimum Requirements: Mac OS X 10.3.6
Version 9.2 of Mac OS is not OS X - but I don't think emulators would be up to running this kind of game very well, if at all. Best option would be to one day, find an older PPC Mac with at least those minimum specs.
Hi guys, I¡m using El Capitan, I can install the game but I can not play it because powerpc is not longer supported, and when I try to install it on QEMU (osx 9.2), it says that the package can not be opened. Any ideas? what I'm doing wrong? thank you for your help in advance!
As before me "eastone" and "scott Praed" wrote, i can confirm too, that you need to install a version Toast and mount the "No DVD" mini image with it to play the game.
Hello everyone!
Are you going to play it? It’s supported in GameRanger! So we could play all together.

Ok, thank you so much
As I said before, if you burn the game DVD to disc (take SkyCapt's advice on how to do this), and mount the DVD, then the game will play. I have tested that this works. Either do that or wait maybe forever for a NoDVD that works for you.
EDIT: It has been mentioned below by others that the NoDVD will work if it is mounted with Toast.
Now I know what is going wrong: the noDVD crack has nothing in it - that's the real problem.
Do you know where to get a working one?
Thanks a lot
Fossilium
Fosillium, neither. You'd burn the toast image to DVD with Toast or Disk Utility or other. Not copy anything to DVD using the Finder...
But help save a plastic tree and don't burn DVD, try download #3 upon your harddrive instead. If you burn you may find that this era of mega-blockbuster game titles doesn't recognise homemade burns as being legitimate, you'd have created another 'coaster'.
Do I have to copy the toast image to the DVD or the content after opening the image?
Of course NoDVD works if is mounted by Toast.
If the NoDVd does not work, you can still play the game by burning a DVD of the full install disc and mounting that.
Thank you for your very fast reply.
Sadly not working for me. It doesn't work although i've mounted the installation toast.
Kind regards and Merry Christmeas from the south-west of Germany
I've uploaded the 'Star Wars Battlefront No DVD.toast' and 'Star Wars BattleFront SN.txt' files that I have. These are untested. The uploaded file is called 'Star_Wars_Battlefront_serial.zip'.
I tested the Stars Wars Battle Front NO DVD in Toast in mac os x 10.5.8. Just mount in Toast as DVD. It will play.
Scott, have you tested this first? It does not work for me. That is why I did not upload it when I first uploaded the game. If the NoDVD does not work then it should be removed from the page.
I upload Stars Wars Battlefront No DVD. Just mount with toast.
Please add a no cd crack
It's a shame there isn't a no-cd crack available for this game. Finding cds is a bit tedious these days, not everybody sells them anymore.
Never mind. I wasn't doing it right - finally worked
Thanks for your help!
The Unarchiver says "Could not extract the file Star Wars Battlefront.toast. The archive file is incomplete". Now this was after dropping all three parts onto the app - maybe I'm doing it wrong. BetterZip just sits there.
@riven2000: Neither of which doesn't work? I assume you mean the GUI apps. What error messages did you get, if any?
@WhosIt.There: Corruption to files can occur at any time and for a number of reasons, to anyone downloading files. It is why I prefer to include checkums with all files I personally upload, so I can immediately determine where a problem lies - with the archived file or with the downloaded file.
However, I can attest to the viability of these particular part files hosted at maxzzz1's - otherwise I would not have included a detailed how-to, below...
... as it looks pretty good from where I'm sitting!
Ah. Copy that. Thanks anyway.
iModFrenzy said six months ago that the archive was corrupt - if it still is, then that would stop anything unarchiving it.
Neither one seems to work....
BetterZip also works. That is what I used to split the archive originally.
Its quite easy if you use the Terminal in OS X to join these part files back to a single .zip file, then use the built-in OS X "Archive Utility" to extract the disk image from the re-joined zip archive.
Place the 3 parts only, together into an empty folder, cd into that location using Terminal and enter from the command-line (you can copy & paste the following if you wish):
cat S*.* > swb.zip
Wait a few minutes for cat to finish (the Terminal's full prompt returns when done) then close the Terminal and double-click "swb.zip" so the internal zip "Archive Utility" can extract the archive from the recombined zip file. The swb.zip file gets extracted to a disk image named "Star Wars Battlefront.toast", which you can then double-click to mount onto your desktop and install from.
But... if using the Terminal isn't for you, you can use the freeware "The Unarchiver" to put these files back together again (have all parts in the same location as above and drop part *.001 onto the Unarchiver).
Not sure how to combine these files - StuffIt Expander hangs....
Star Wars BattleFront works on power mac G4 1.25 Ghz mirror door 2003. in mac os x 10.4.11 the game work fine. But game has problem opening in mac os x 10.5.8 without BattleFront patch. With the Battlefront patch in game in mac os x 10.5.8. It works no problems.
Archive is corrupt
The key for this copy is in the 3rd screenshot
Thanks but i had been try several cd keys but without results!
