A sequel to Simon the Sorcerer, this second game in the series gives us more mis-adventures from our teenaged sorcerer (of some sort). Thrown into another dimension by his own wardrobe, Simon starts the heroic mission to find -- another wardrobe that could get him back home. Equipped with his pointy sorcerer's hat, he will also rescue the world (again) from the evil Sordid. (MobyGames)

English with German, French and Italian subtitles.

In the cd there is a directory "midi" which has mid files but quicktime and qmidi do not run any of these files. Quicktime shows a msg saying that couldn't open the file because the sound information was in a bad or damaged format. I copied all the directory to the hard drive and i changed the files from mid to midi via the midi it application. Then i tried to open and test some files with quicktime and they all worked. I tried them also with the qmidi application via quicktime and roland mt32 and again they worked. But in the game there is no music at all. In the readme file says that the music is not included due to technical problems and that the music is provided on the cd in midi format. Also tha manual says that you can turn off/on the music with "m" key and adjust the volume with the + and - keys at the numeric pad. I also copied all the game to the hard drive and tried to run it with the changed mid files but again there is no music. Tests were performed on my Power Macintosh G3 Minitower 300mhz but i had the same problem with my Performa 6116 (with G3 500mhz), Imac G3 and Powermac G4 MDD.

Is there a .mid file?
Quicktime should be able to play it or any of several free Midi players.
Most browsers can play .mid files.

There are 32 midi file in the midi folder - all playable in QuickTime.

Does anyone know if there is way to listen to the music of the game? I have the game original and it says that the music is not included but it is in midi format. I cannot hear anything, only sound effects and speech.
