This game works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II,

This game has the player engineering a conveyor system to haul mined diamonds in caves to a central base using horizontal and vertical conveyors. Equipment is installed one square at a time, with specific costs for each piece. Since digging costs almost as much as a conveyor, each situation demands a careful analysis to determine whether to go through or around a particular obstacle. From the moment I grasped the basic setup, I knew I would enjoy this game. It tapped into my love of engineering and optimizing solutions within tight constraints. Part way through the game's puzzles I saw that I needed to work out some rules-of-thumb for the cost of common patterns of design that came up. The costs of various structures were chosen to result in many optimal structures for particular situations. It was satisfying to start the conveyors and watch the piles of diamond dust make their way through an intricate network of conveyors to the base.

Such a fantastic puzzle game. There was a bit of a shareware spiritual successor to it here: http://www.allegro.cc/depot/Outer-RimPodDigger/
