Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood is a third-person real-time strategy game originally developed for Microsoft Windows and ported to Linux, Mac OS X, MorphOS and Zeta by RuneSoft. The original Mac version was compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar and higher. The game is also advertised as RPG.
Since the game is still available, you should buy it if you play it. It costs ~$10 at the Mac App Store; you can also get Windows versions from Steam and GOG.com.
The only reason the PowerPC Mac version is preserved here is that it is very very hard to get these days. For people who want to play this game on a Power Mac, this is (almost) the only way.
Taken from the RuneSoft product page:
Do not only take on the role of the hero Robin Hood, but also the roles of his faithful vassals and take them to the battle field against the nasty Prince John Lackland. In doing so you are able to enjoy the fabulous English landscape of 1190 as well as the giant castles and funny characters.
The thrilling story is introduced by an award-winning introduction and transfers you directly into the hero’s body with the first mission, in which you have to set the captive comrades free. Take up the battle against the oppressors and free the farmers from the Prince’s reign! Be smart, be fast! Be Robin Hood!Features:
- More than 30 non-linear missions in which, for instance, you have the duty to save Little John and Brother Tuck, to prevent a wedding between Marianne and the revolting Guy of Gisbourne or to attack the taxation collectors of the Sheriff of Nottingham
- Visit five giant castles on different ways, at day- and night times, and at different weather conditions
- Play with up to nine integrated characters being outstanding due to their specific abilities and qualities
- Due to an innovative fighting system you are able to control the hero’s sword in battles by mouse
- Decide yourself which tactic appears to be the right one for you: reach the goal by creeping around the guards or fight bravely using sword and bow
The original PowerPC Mac version is very hard to get. Some stores may still list the game as a shop clearing item, but at a rather high price, though most stores are out of stock entirely.
The game can still be bought for Mac OS X/Intel, OS X and macOS:

Thanks for the updated archive, muttztfz.
That will be the file muttztfz had replaced earlier (for reasons given in his post in the other thread). You can see this update occur if you go backwards through the revisions.
No matter, muttztfz will need to fix it.Try it now - I corrected the download link using the file name from the Macintosh Garden FTP site. It starts downloading now, but I haven't downloaded the whole 555MB file to check it (it's nearly the end of the monthly timeframe for my data cap, so running a little low on data).
The DL in the description area: "Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood (~555 MB)" is giving "404 Not found" errors.
I tried correcting the link but it still fails with same 404 error.
It's a great looking game, but it's playability is near impossible (at least the demo is) because there are way too many guards and it's far too complicated. You simply don't stand any chance of completing it.
