This is the original Pangea Software game, before it's name was changed to "Mighty Mike".
The goal is to collect all the Fuzzy Bunnies on each level, saving them from the bad toys. Destroy everything with different weapons, collect keys to open the different colored doors. Vast number of worlds to travel to and from. In two player mode players take turn by turn.
When the lights of the Toy Mart go out, the adventure begins: it's up to Power Pete to save the innocent fuzzy bunnies from evil clowns, crazed robots and bone-hurling cavemen. Use an arsenal of weapons from suction cups to gum ball blasters to blaze your way through 15 levels of toy shop terror. This game has real speech, overhead views for full-action play and fuzzy bunny radar to lead users to the rescue. Macintosh Multimedia & Product Registry Volume 9, No.4 - 1996

Thanks to the hard work of an outstanding programmer, Power Pete (AKA Mighty Mike) is now running on current Apple hardware (M1 included) New settings menu is also incredible. Original Game Manual and Strategy guide uploaded above. Ability to select between Power Pete and Mighty Mike title screen.
Updated Power Pete / Mighty Mike (https://github.com/jorio)
"the arcade game of the year" this game was one of the first games that i play when i was a child. the music is good and the enemies are great, also they invent a good plot.
Just added a save game editor I came across. Let's you edit the ammo of all 15 weapons, change your health, the current level you're on, difficulty and score. Enjoy
This looks like v1.0A, I appear to have a few later versions, including a v2.0.1. I'l make sure they're not the demo and then add a MU link for someone else to confirm, then we can add them to the description if they're any better.
I believe the 5min freeze is some bizarre bug, that is easily fixed with a tiny patch. I don't envy you trying to find it, but Mighty Mike may not have the same bug! I know that one was way more stable than the other...
best of luck
I downloaded Power Pete for use with Basilisk. It is a bit cruder than Mighty Mike, the screen is much lower resolution, but for some reason it freezes after 5 minutes. Anyone else have this problem?
What I really would love to see, is the Applewin emulator (Apple//)
ported to my iPod touch.
Btw, please someone port SimCity, Settlers, Monkey Islands, … from iPhone to Mac OS X!
Write to pangea, and ask them to port it to the app store
I have an iPod touch...
(and I'm surprised by what this little gizmo can do besides playing Music and games)
...and I thought the vMac emulator was available just like any other program,
so I looked for it at the iTunes store, but I couldn't find it,
then I read that the ipod has to be jailbreak or something, I guess that means hacked,
and that's too bad 'cuz I don't want to hack it
anyway I found some cool older games like Lunar Lander which is an exact replica of the original.
it goes by the name "Lander" for some reason I like simple vector games like this one,
even though I didn't grow up with that generation, I find them very entertaining.
now I'm gonna look for Power Pete.
Pangeas still around, but they don't make mac software anymore, instead making only ipod touch/ iphone games (unfair, because i don't have an ipod touch/iphone
)
I tried the link to download Mighty Mike and it is currently unavailable. It appears that website hasn't been updated in 7 years.
Yes, thank you, I saw that after posting the comment. For those using Basilisk II: download the .sit torrent file, make a disk image of the .sit file. Then extract it in mac-mode with Stuffit Expander, and you're ready to play.
You can get Power Pete from the BitTorrent link above.
Do any of you still have the original Power Pete file, since Mighty Mike doesn't run on Basilisk II (it requires OS 9, and I only have 7.5). I had this a couple of years ago, but I probably threw out the disc with the computer. If anyone has the original file, please link.
Good game although This one reminds me of the game "Zombies ate my neighbors" from SNES
Looking at the Mighty Mike site, I believe that it is not a "re-release" but a full recreation and update of the original. The original game should be continue to be classified as abandonware while the update should not.
excelente juego, aun lo tengo en el cd de sistema 7.5.3 del performa 5215
You can still download Power Pete via previous revisions (you need an account for that).
Mighty Mike is a re-release of Power Pete, stripped of any kind of 68k code (unlike Power Pete). Mighty Mike does, however, run on PowerPC machines and Sheepshaver.
I downloaded the demo of mighty mike onto my emulator thats running mac Mac OS 7.5.3 but when i tried to open mighty mike it said it couldnt because of an "-192 type error occurred" I've been trying to find a way to get this game for a very long time now; can anyone help?
Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' by 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
I'm not sure this is abandonware ... Pangea Software is still selling it under the name "Mighty Mike". I have removed the download link because of this.
I had this game when I was a kid, but lost the disc. Very very good. Thanks a million!
I remember this game! Thanks!
