The sequel to Pararena.
In January 2016, this game was made open source.
There is a walkthrough showing how to build the source using Basilisk and THINK C.
Comments
I added a link to my walkthrough showing how to build the source. The sound code is written in 68k assembly (and pre-compiled into an object file) so changing it will not be easy.
Has anyone managed to get sound working in an emulator yet?
Hello,
Pararena 2.0 is now playable in dual-player mode through the Internet at the RetroWeb Vintage Computer Musuem.
Enjoy!

Open Source?! oh boy oh boy... hope they re-release it like they did with Ares (Antares) !!!
Hey, sorry, it turns out the version of the game that was already on here was slightly newer, like 2.06 or something. I've uploaded a copy of original 2.0, which the [k] works with. Filename is "Pararena_2.0tm.sit" and it's the first item in the downloads list. I put the 2.06 version at the bottom of the downloads list.
does that mean the [k] doesn't work?
"This script isn't compatible with this file."
Hi all, I have added the 2.0 [k] finally. Have fun!
I have sounds working normally on the system, but not in the game. although in the game memory info it says all sounds are loaded.
Especially Sheep, have you set a Sound Output Device, using the Sound Control Panel inside Sheep?
"Choose a device for Sound Output", select "integrated", which should be the only device listed.
Unfortunately, this seems to be required to set at every start again,
so I put an Alias of this Control Panel into the Startup items.
The game is working for me very well too, but I can't get the game sounds to work, i tried it on sheep shaver Mac OS 9.2.2 and Basilisk 7.5.3. no luck on both.
Appreciate any help, I just love this game
Game works fine I just can't get any sound while it's running. Any ideas? The emulator system sound is just fine but this game won't give me any sound once running. Thanks!
amatecha, that patch would be most appreciated -- I freakin' love this game!
It does ask for the original floppy. I happen to have a patch (crack) for it. Let me know if you want it and I'll toss it on Megaupload or the like.
Can you run this without the original floppy?
also, Hi amatecha!
