Guides on emulating older games

MDK tells the story of Kurt Hectic's attempts to rescue Earth from an alien invasion of gigantic strip mining city-vehicles named 'Minecrawlers', which are not only removing all of Earth's natural resources but are also flattening any people and cities that get in their way. The game combined fast action with fully 3D rendered, state-of-the art graphics and a warped sense of humour. It featured a "sniper mode" that allowed the player to zoom in on enemy targets.

Recently made available for Intel Macs: the DOS version, pre-wrapped with DOSBox, at GOG. Unfortunately the DOS version isn't able to take advantage of the Glide renderer the native Windows version has, which means no high resolutions. It's also slower than the Windows version due to the need for emulation.

Architecture: PPC

PowerPC 100MHz or better, SSW 7.5 or higher.
Is soft-render capable.
Runs great in OS X Classic, even Tiger.

MDK is very easy - you can just copy the game folder and it works (pretty big folder).

Had the most fun with this on PS1, mouse control is bit dodgy on computers.

looks like a decent game so far, but there is 1 thing i cant figure out: how to block from bein shot at (the enemies can do it, why cant kurt?). i figured out how to save (press f2) but cheats only work once per level(what the hell is that all about?!) i hope theres some kinda workaround for that because i cant just use somethin 1 time and thats it. especially not in a game where enemies are literally comin from all directions all at once. theres just no way to get them fast enough before they hit me. im used to shootin baddies in front of me, not above my head and behind me and in front of me and to the left and right of me. this game should be called "Frustration On A Space Station" cuz thats all it seemed to be durin my short adventure in it.

Looks like we were all too late to save Livingston (second or third scenario). I used to work there, it is the very definition of a "bomb site", full of zombies / unemployed souls. I could go on.

This game is mad, you have your own redeployable parachute... Download this game just for that reason if for nothing else.
