This compressed file is a package of three elements:
1) MacGnuGo 0.5, a Classic MacOS GUI for the version 2.6 of GNU Go, already embedded.
2) GnuGo_anymac, a direct port of GNU Go v2.7.71 for the Classic MacOS, running only in text mode.
3) Source code for both apps in C programming language.
Some characteristics of MacGnuGo 0.5: board appearance, handicap, komi and game level are all configurables, self-play, hints, view modes, save/load SGF files. Freeware.
CompatibilityNo information about compatibility but should run with System 7 and later, considering its release date. Don't know if this program is 68k only or Fat binary, though.
Tested successfully on:
Basilisk II for MacOSX w/System 7.5.5
SheepShaver for MacOSX w/MacOS 9.0.4
Comments
Please take note that "MacGnuGo 0.5" by Jeremy Harris (2001), based on GNU Go 2.6, is a different project than "Mac GNU Go 3.2.3" by Hideyuki Fujiwara (2003), based on GNU Go 3.2.
