A clone of the arcade classic Defender. Patrol a landscape blasting aliens before they can abduct humans.
The same author also turned Missile Command into Mac Missiles, and wrote versions of both games for the Xerox Alto (which are highly praised by both people to have mentioned them on the internet).
CompatibilityNot compatible with SSW 7.

The Key Game! At least that's what I called it. I seem to remember skimming across the bottom of the screen at top speed an awful lot.
This is about the 3rd game I ever played on Mac - after Mouse Stampede and Dark Castle.
An out&out arcade classic, in a very playable port... top marks!
It would not surprise me if Avadis went on to work for Apple. I understand James Thomson worked on OSX (specifically with the Dock?) as well as creating (and still working on) DragThing - http://www.dragthing.com/
Can we sue him ? A class-action suit for all the broken spacebars on Mac Pluses caused by this game ??

According to Wikipeadia, Yes!

FuNnY!,

Defender stole the graphics of one of my favorite games!... Lunar Lander!
I couldn't open the included docs file. In case anyone else has the same problem, here are the controls (found them on another website):
Tab and Shift = Up and down
Return = Fire
Command = Change direction
Backspace = Smart bomb
Space = Pause
Alt = Hyperspace
