Kye is best remembered as a Windows 3.1 game, but it also got a Mac port. No one remembers that.
You control the little green dot. Your targets are all the diamonds strewn around each level. Figure out the puzzles and traverse the hazards to pick them all up and progress to the next stage.
This is version 2.1 of the charityware release. This means we only have the standard levels available. Donating twenty quid to Save The Children granted access to an additional 100, so long as you remembered to tell the author to send the Mac disk.
Compatibility
Comments
It appears to run OK on at least SSW 6.0.8
Kye running under SSW 6.0.8 (Mini vMac II, 256 colors)
I haven't run it for long, only tested to see if it would run. Seems fine tho'.
Also,
under Compatibility you have "Architecture: 68k PPC". Its architecture is 68k only (even tho it may run fine on PPC hardware).Cant remember when or where I found this, it was sat on my old iBook.
This game lacks any compatibility documentation so please try it out on whatever you have. It would be interesting to hear if it works on System 6.
